We need a system - any system... 10:22 - Apr 30 with 2658 viewsstuabd

I like the analysis of the first Liverpool goal the other night.

Anyway, it's lucky he didn't mention our system of punting it to the opposition from kick offs.

I watched some A league games at the weekend. Even they try to keep the ball from kick off.

Yep, really outstanding piece and miles ahead of the usual reactive dross you get in the media these days.

Also follows on nicely from discussion in this week's Antti Knee Jerks re Manning's suitability at left-back - not just in terms of individual skillset but also the tactical requirements to enable that line of production and to mitigate the spaces it leaves behind.

He provides Premier League examples there but the case is just as compelling in this division - see Aarons/Lewis at Norwich, Baldock/Stevens at Blades, Bogle at Derby, Dasilva at Bristol C... Bielsa even going so far as to play career wingers Dallas and Alioski there.
