Unfortunately my raspberry pi went kaput. The drawback of this system is the lack of a reset button built in which, if the pi freezes, can be pressed to reboot the system. One can be added but it's a little fiddly. Anyway.
I am now thinking of either a droidbox type setup, or a firestick. I haven't had a firestick previously and therefore need some expert opinion.
Is the firestick the way to go?
Do they just plug into the HDMI output of a TV?
Are there any other power sources needed?
Is Kodi and then Flawless easy to load onto it?
Are there any additional costs involved with the firestick i.e Do you have to subscribe to Amazon Prime?
If you've got one would you recommend?
Which one is the best to get?

That was the death of the Pi. They don't like having their power pulled and then put back in. It's a reason why they're cheap as they don't have a reset or standby button on them which would be ideal for situations like this. |
It is a little annoying having to do it with the Firestick but it does not affect it.
Well fath, i am sure you will be over the moon with your new purchase BUT its essential that you get Flawless on it. |  |

Some Android boxes are incompatible with newer versions of Kodi which can restrict the kind of add ons you can install on it. Does that happen with a Fire stick/TV? |  |
