Of course we're in a relegation fight. We're 3 points from the relegation zone, have the second worst goal difference in the league and have lost 6 on the bounce.
But most strangely, the player I think our full backs would least like to face of anyone in our squad, Shodipo, never starts.
And of the players in our squad I'd most alongside me in the trenches, Seb Polter would be top of the list - the bloke gives everything and is very physical - and yet Holloway clearly doesn't like him.
All very strange.
I suspect something happened the on the training ground a few weeks back, which we've not been told about. Can't help but feel Holloway banging on about English speakers is linked to this.

Hunterhoop I'd agree polter is someone you would want around if it was coming on top. That said he seems a bit too slow and doesn't have the goals in him.

I actaully really like Polter but fck me it sums up the state of the club as to me he's a poor man's Devon White to be used when we are desperate... and to be fair will probably deliver
If we don't find a goal scorer from somewhere the question won't be are we in a relegation fight, but just how far below the other relegated teams will we finish.

5 weeks to find one or two proven goal scorers that don't cost the earth, speak English and know the country, and want to fight it out in the lower end of the championship .
Just found out this is our worst run of form for 26 years, amazing really when you think Gummidge has only been in charge for seven games.
"Gummidge" LOL I see what you've done there.
Incredibly inventive imaginative hilarious wordplay, Come to think of it I've never seen fellow wit L Block in the same room as Nov77.
However much he might be busted and broken now,fit only for punditry I think Mr Ian Scott Holloway Esquire's 10 years at Loftus Road as player and manager entitles him to be treated with more leeway, indulgence and respect.
What is happening now makes me very sad rather than want to attack or antagonise or treat with contempt a genuine honest man who really, really, really loves this club.
'I'm 18 with a bullet.Got my finger on the trigger,I'm gonna pull it.."
Love,Peace and Fook Chelski!
More like 20StoneOfHoop now.
Let's face it I'm not getting any thinner.
Pass the cake and pies please.
When it's 0-0, we look vulnerable. When it's 0-1 we create a bit more but is that because our opponents sit back a little? We can't score, we can't defend and we can't beat anyone at all. What we actually need to do is what we sacked JFH for, so it's unlikely to happen. So yes, we are looking like relegation candidates. As fans, all we can do is focus on this new reality and accept that winning a game might often be beyond this side, for whatever reason. We don't want div 1. We need to get behind them and push them - it's all that we can do.
I didn't want JFH to go but I didn't want to go and watch that side either. If I have to go along and shout for a side fighting relegation then that's a different matter. I'll do that.

what would hurt Holloway's pride more? someone jokingly referring to him as Gummidge' or someone telling him he was '"busted, broken and fit only for punditry"?

The Gummidge one.
One is an opinion (a tactless one), the other is a personal insult.
