According to reports

Belgium Proximus Player of the Season Award after scoring 13 goals and providing 19 assists

I hope this comes off. He has a classic left foot and him and Chery, at this level, would have a field day.

Never knowingly right.
Poll: How long before new signings become quivering wrecks of the players they were?

The new Faurlin? Simple movement, give and go and some visionary long range passing.

Poll: Where will we finish up next season?

If he's half as good as Connor Washington or Khayati then we could have a great errrrrmmmm... Player......errrrrmmm....: Impact sub.......errrrr.....ah.

I know, I know. I'm a moany old dick with no patience!!!

On a serious note, I'm actually looking forward and hoping JFH gets his squad there or thereabouts early doors, gets em fit, well drilled and bonded with good spirit in PRE SEASON!!! Madness!
For the above reason I hope he takes the Kenny Jackett approach and insists no marks like Fer, Sandro, Caulker etc are kept well away from the 1st team squad but forced to come in etc and perform contracted duties until they go

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

This is probably unfair...but doesn't this smack of the not too distant past when we seemed to be linked with every lost cause and looney tune of British football (e.g. Ravel Morrison)?

No mental contracts that tie us down, and i'd be happy to take this risk.

If JFH has worked with him successfully in the past then that goes a long way to lowering my concerns. Not something which has been true in the past (hello, I've heard of you, have a contact)

Is that Yeovil's ground? That famous slope seems steeper than I recall....

So if Bostock is in fact incoming, will it be in his Dad's Bentley?
I recall the story doing the rounds was his Dad walked out of the Spuds contract talks, got in a cab and headed straight to a Bentley showroom and bought one there and then. Young JB then was getting dropped off to Spuds U21 training in said vehicle and, as they say, "giving it large"

Left it late to get himself straight. Hope he has

The season before last I arrived at Clapham Junction en route to LR only to find the onward line to Shepherd's Bush had been suspended for whatever reason. Little choice but to jump in a black cab which is what I did and the driver turned out to be.................John Bostock's father. As you can imagine conversation was dominated with Hoops talk and myself in particular whining about HR etc before he revealed who his son was. It was a while back now of course and can't recall each and every detail of the conversation but do clearly remember him saying Warnock hadn't rated him at Palace and surprise, surprise HR had frozen him out at Spurs. Mutual slagging of HR ensued. Anyway he was lovely guy, said his son was very happy playing in Belgium, he was excited about going out with his mates to a Northern Soul event that night in Monument and most importantly his cab wasn't a Bentley.

Loan first then first option to buy?

I'd see this more as a (hopefully educated) gamble rather than a proper bit of strategic squad development. As long as we don't over-invest or build our foundations on players of this sort then I'm more than happy with it though. If we're not paying full whack for the finished article then this is how it has to be. You never really know if they'll turn out Grant Hall or JET.

Slightly concerned that no one else seems to be in for him but us. Perhaps we do have the SP with Les and Jimmy but if he was doing as well as some say he'd be no secret.

(By the by I do find it weird how you get this weird breed of lad on the internet these days who sees themselves as some sort of world football talent spotter, getting off on breathlessly enthusing before anyone else. If you haven't watched several lower table Belgian games Bostock has featured in then how can anyone claim this would be a great signing off the bat? Attention seekers IMO.)
