Siggy & Vardy 17:22 - Feb 3 with 3329 viewsJethroJack

The media are raving about Vardy's goal last night...impressive strike, beat Mignolet all ends up.

I wonder if Siggy would have got similar coverage if his (very similar) effort had beaten Foster?

Didn't gylfi hit it with his left foot too?

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

Even with the coverage Vardy gets, you could multiply by 10 the column inches he would get if he played for one of the BIG six, Spurs especially( Dele Alli this, Harry Kane that.......)
No one is bothered about us, we know that. I dont care whether they say great stuff about us or not. We know who we are and we loves it. They can all do one.

Yes, his "weaker" left peg.

Vardy's effort was better. Him and Kane should both be ahead of Rooney in the England selection for sure.

Ferre v Preston?

Edit.
Got to agree with Dyfnant.
Kane and Vardy should be starting ahead of Rooney, but Hodgson will play players who are performing badly, providing they play for a top 6 team.
Rooney can do no wrong in his eyes and is undroppable.

Wanna see tonight's wonder goal? Johnny Hayes scores a screamer in Aberdeen's 2-1 win over Celtic tonight......

If you think that was a fluke, the same player did this against Celtic 2 years ago coincidentally in another 2-1 win.....

In fairness, the Alli, Kane hype is the only bit of english talent that i've believed in for a while. They are ripping the league up in terms of young home grown talent. Full credit to them. Need more managers like Poch in the league, managers who blood home grown talent through to the first team and are not afraid to play them. Seems to get the youngsters to flourish and see he's given Tom Carroll a run in the first team as well.

The more coverage he gets the bigger chance someone will come in for him, better he plays well for us but stays long term.

He's a good solid attacking midfielder who scores goals, works hard, behaves on and off the pitch and he's ours this time!

Hayes' goal is very good, a bit of curl on it too. In fairness the keeper did well to get airborne in time, let alone close to it.

What makes Vardy's goal good for me is that he has to check a bit before hitting it because the ball seems to have bounced a little more than he was expecting. Also he isn't looking at the goal when he strikes it, he's watching the ball. He knows where the goal is instinctively.
