I'm wondering if these elevated transfer fees are being driven by the TV money. Next year when it becomes available the so called smaller clubs won't need to sell their established players to finance team improvements so they'll either hold the player to contract or hold out until the price is even higher.
The "big clubs" can afford to get the players they want so just go out and pay the inflated price now before the cash strapped ones get the big payout. |  | | |

Everybody knocks Lawro on here, but at least he highlighted the fact that the Financial Fair Play rules appear to have suddenly disappeared up Michel Platini's arseh*le when he was discussing these outrageous mega transfers on Radio 5's weekend round up yesterday.
