Yes, when he reached his 500th appearance v Leyton Orient in October 2011, I did a special TVOS which meant I went through his career appearances in forensic detail.
The problem with things like Soccerbase and Wiki is that they aren't 100% accurate, especially when you have more than one Jones in your squad.
In a similar vein, Soccerbase had Matty Edwards playing in defence for much of 2012/13 instead of Ryan Edwards and/or Phil Edwards.

I think we can all agree he will bring a great deal to whoever he plays for. A good signing for Southport in a very tough league.

Ideal man to play the Cav type role in front of the defence, with the added bonus of a few goals. Very good signing for Southport and close to home for Jonah.
He could progress to Player Manager and learn his trade before taking over the reigns at Spotland in the not too distant future. Re-shuffle his back room staff meaning BBM takes over the Kitman role and Jack becomes the Stadium Announcer. That's how i am reading this situation anyway, fingers crossed!! He might be hopeless at football management, like many former players are. I personally would not be in favour of the club just creating a position to accommodate ANY player for the sake of it. If he was to be employed in the future, it would surely have to be on the basis he has proven himself able to come into a role that's has to be filled. In my opinion Dale as a club cannot afford to be sentimental in regards to recruitment of staff.
Just to add, I am not accusing you of saying we should employ Gary Jones, but others on here have in the past, said we should give him a job, I say we take him on in the future IF there's a role to fill and if he's proven to be good enough to fill that role. [Post edited 6 Aug 2015 12:27]
