The Frankie Friday Music Thread.....RIP 07:01 - Apr 4 with 2366460 viewsLblock

Here I am starting this from my recovery bed and no clue how to link tunes on an iPhone!

Will stick on my offerings from a PC later unless the other knuckles thread is the preference to use?

House classics and dancey dazzlers only, no hijacking from suicide rock please!

In the beginning there was jack.......

Been meaning to update for years.
Can only be one.......

Who wants to hear a bit of the old Joanna on this sunny Friday?

Or a bit of Zero B. Prob already been put up,but hey ho,its a great tune.

It is Friday isn't it? After work beers is called for!!
I loved the 90s.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry or get on one, either way it's ridiculous that it's taken over 750 tracks before Zero B was included and them to top it all off Ken Don - Nagasaki, now that's just taking the piss. An unbelievable and apparantely almost forgettable (by me anyway) stormer. This track used to make any and every place rock out!!! What a tune. 'Kin love it. It's gone straight in to my top 10!
Thanks PunteR.

Yeah FRED'S got a spreadsheet. He sent me a copy a couple of weeks ago and it was 698 tunes long.

As he was saying to me Lblock and PaulParker used to play these tunes', we just used to dance to them.

I'm rediscovering loads of tunes I'd either forgotten (Nush's U Girls) or that I never could have found as I never knew the name of the artist/song/label.

Drop Fred a PM.

Cant recall if I've stuck this one up?

Always used to run it with Pamela Fernandez "Kickin in the Beat" which I know has been on here so if I hadnt whacked this up with it then conclusive proof the grey matter fading fast

Are we STILL finding these?!

And the tune I used to spin with Nush U Girls... the only natural follower

And then there's this one -- This must surely have been stuck up. This is my favourite mix of a FOG classic, just love the the synth and rolling bass... been a long time... too kin long I tell you! Dance you muva's!

Wife and Kids back home so back to family life but before I go;

Now I know that's defo been up as I fookin love it!
I remember walking through Camden Market one sunny Saturday morning and there was a black kid with a pair of 1210's throwing down some tracks and it was when I first heard that number.
I offered him a score for it (probably about 50 quid now) and he refused flat and wouldnt tell me the name of it just said "cant tell you mate, it's my mates and not released yet, but it's awesome".. and all his mates started laughing. Did make me feel a bit of a tool.
Then about 4 months later it started appearing everywhere and I got me a copy.

Here's a pumping one for the getting ready to go out shower.

Have it

Riding off into the sunset with a Strictly offering that was another Legends favourite - the old whole club hand clap at the end of it a memory

Gonna jump in the David Gower with some Esta La Musica and Tito Puente MAW to give the Brasil vibe and off down the battle cruiser with Stevie G first goal at 14-1.

Enjoy

I've been called many things in my life but never "King of Cataloging".

I've also checked the list and this one isn't on there either. I started to think there's maybe something wrong with my cataloging but then I remembered I'm the King!

Not the mix I wanted, but hey ho!

Glad you enjoyed that one, its what this threads about isn't it mate.
There's loads from the mid 90s that haven't been put up yet.
Maybe a bit too hard house and not quite Frankie Knuckles vibe but were bangers back in the day.

Had to edit, some tunes were not the ones i wanted up. Poxy phone taking ages
to load up so not double checking posts. KGB and scot project were the wrong mixes

Try again.

Bit dark this one, bit like Professional widow on acid. Quality track though.

On a tranced up tip last night Mr PunteR??

Talking of last night this one's for Woy and the Boys
Two stupid (but cracking) young ladies standing in front of me at one stage in the boozer last night chatting about how Stevie G was old "but still hot" and not a scooby about footy.
At the end one of them said "we need a miracle" and her passing resemblance to Toca put this tune in my head

Some quite good five a side footage on the Toca version I recall!!
