Sneak preview of Hartlepool programme Wednesday, 4th Aug 2010 16:15 by Col Rochdale AFC’s matchday programme – The Voice of Spotland – is back for Saturday’s League One game against Hartlepool United. The programme has been increased to 76 pages this season, but with the same number of advert pages as last year, meaning there is even more to keep you entertained before, during and after the match. We start with a front cover image of summer signing Brian Barry-Murphy, who had a spell with Hartlepool earlier in his career. As usual, there are the serious and not-so-serious articles, together with the usual high quality pictures from the Bolton and Bury games by photographer Daniel Youngs. Keith Hill gives his thoughts on the season ahead, while we pay a special tribute to former Dale legend Stan Milburn, who sadly passed away last week. A new style Dale Quiz has been compiled to test the grey matter Scrutator is back with his views on sporting icons. Traveller’s Tales reports on the trip to Fleetwood, while there are in-depth previews of forthcoming home and away fixtures. Of course, there are many new features, including The Day I Was Born, where we look back at what was happening when members of the Dale squad came into the world. Visitors Hartlepool get nine pages of coverage, with My First Time reflecting on a visit to Victoria Park when Dale ran out in red shirts! All this and much, much more will be in Saturday’s The Voice of Spotland, on sale in the Club Shop and around the ground, priced £3.00.
