I’m just rooting for any shot at this point- don’t care if it’s on or off target

Marti definitely needs to look ahead w some of the fixture congestion

Not a bad shout to save legs and give guys like Bennie Lloyd Edb a run out

Lot better this half but amazingly still no shors

The King's speech?
at 16:15 25 Dec 2024

Agreed

I hope the fans do not let this run of form distract them from the issues and from the fact that this guy is a huckster - that we wasted money on madsen and celar, froze out kolli and went into season with one left back

Where was his updates when we were in last place?

It shows a lot about the character of the guy that he puts out this statement on the back of a few good results but that he was nowhere to be seen when we were in the sh*t

If anything this only reinforces my opinion of the guy

Absolutely ridiculous thread

As if playing left back and right back are interchangeable positions….. let’s play saito as centre back and see how he does

He’s not good as a left back (at least going forward and in possession)…. But any failure is on management for going into the season w one left back in the squad (particularly after they almost binned off paal in summer)….. would be nice if we could get lakreche back from his loan- very serviceable second left back

Pathetic from madsen

Why not stay on your feet and try to make something happen

We may lose this game but Oxford are awful

We’re not much better

Dunne, cook and Morrison all fine

Field and varane not linking up going fwd

Smyth has been invisible . Madsen was literally invisible as I didn’t even realise he was playing

Kolli , saito fairly quiet . Still a better half from kolli than what we typically get from celar tbf

Ashby is having a shocker, probably the sloppiest player on the pitch…. If I was Oxford I’d let him have the ball and then force him to make mistakes. Right footed fullback on the left hand side, what could go wrong…

What’s worse? The standard of play or the analyst on comms?

Cumulative xg of both teams through 35 minutes is 0.16 goals

I’m surprised it’s that high

Keep it at 0-0 and hope chair can bring some skill to the proceedings

Invisible performances from the front 3 going forward

Can’t blame Ashby being asked to play on the left as a right footer

How have we gone into the season w one left back…

Nourry should walk.

Forget abt the fact that we hired a 26 yr old to be dof

The fact that a kid was basicaly running an engagement as an extrrnal consultant rly highlights how clueless qpr are

I work in an industry where we hire loads of these types of external consultants . The engagement is nominally led by some gray haired partner but all of the actual work is done by people in their 20s and 30s . Nonetheless the person who is put in front of the client is the older person bc they have the experience and the overall perspective while the guy in his 20s with loads of energy does all the grunt work

The fact that nourry was ostensibly fronting the engagement kind of tells you everything no? We let a 24 yr old 2 years out of uni and with no job or life experience essentially provide his “expert” advice at some ridiculous cost to the club

Again, it all comes down to the naivety of the ownership

Finally, on belk- I do kind of feel bad for him bc he’s being scapegoated to some degree. But again, it comes down to ownership. look at clubs like Brentford and Liverpool- their stats guys have phds from Harvard or did some crazy maths course at imperial or worked in some hyper mathematical finance job…. Our analytics expert got a degree in sports science from university of wales. No disrespect to the uni or the degree but if we want a quantitative guy, at least get a f**** proper quantitative guy

No disrespect but... Sunderland match threað
at 17:00 2 Nov 2024

We would’ve all taken the point at the start but given we played against 10 for 30 mins that feels like two points dropped

We’ve scored 11 this season in 13 compared to 47 in 46 (so goal scoring has been an issue)….

With a bad striker we’re reliant on others like chair, paal, field, cook all chipping in goals, and those haven’t come yet..:
