Corbyn blanked me once on a PR visit to the TATA plant I was then working in .
He seemed to be cared about Steel making in Wales , say hello then when you walk by .

He lost my vote that day , a nod or small gesture might have swung my thinking .

Watch the road rage of drivers stuck behind a car travelling at 18 mph , accident waiting to happen when a chancer overtakes .

A road by me down to 40mph , good stretch of tarmac , few blind spots but a good road .

Tailgaters itching to get up to where they want to go , someone tottering along at 35 mph .
Get out of my way I am coming through , oncoming motorists beware .

Will watch Coldplay on catch up at a later time , not for me but a family member went to Cardiff few years ago and loved their show that night .

Some reports earlier suggested a lot of the acts were playing with backup audio as a fail safe for technical problems , must be an option for a turnover of so many performers on a stage , sound checks must be a problem in a short space of time to get it right .

Most of the big arena shows I attend now , marvel at an OAP with a voice still sounding the same now even as I remember it from my 33 rpm vinyl , techonology , got to love it .

Tinternet now claims Taylor Swift lip synched this her entire World Tour .

Shania Twain legends spot Sunday , Dolly Parton nailed that gig a few years ago .

The PR exercise over Gethin and his hangers on trip to Mumbai was laughable .

It was a token gesture , paid by us of course to save our heritage in Steel , failed .
But a face to face with TATA would save Wales our steelmaking , nice freebie holiday .

All Politicians are false , Drakeford was useless , this guy has taken it to another level .

Even Liz Truss called it a day when she knew she was not capable , ruined the economy but said out of her depth here , time to go and we are all in the UK paying for her mess .

Cardiff getting a new bus stop costing close to £ 100m , really cannot make it up .

Some on line reports suggest and maybe want to dodge a problem over there .

Tenerife want to be seen as a go to destination tor tourists , no iffy deals here mate .

Really has to be more to this backstory than being presented to us .

Tata had threatened to pull out of the UK en bloc if they could not get any more subsidies .

Seems there is half a billion waiting for them when this part closure starts , although this was offered by the current Government ,

Richie gets the boot from No.10 , a new party comes in , will that money still be there after the General Election .

Importing HRC from India .
China will soon be eyeing potential opportunities to pump their metal into the UK .

Sure them Countries give a damn about their carbon footprint on the World .

This decision has nothing to with being Greener .

TATA has wanted to cut jobs for years due to financial reasons , to many high wages paid .

Look forward to Zero Contract offers added to cheaper labour costs going forward .

As soon as Industirial Action was called for the writing was on the wall for the Plant .

TATA needed any excuse to put another nail in the coffin , this was just it .

I know they have been importing Hot Rolled Coil from India lately , the incoming quality on the product has been excellent too from what I am hearing .
Looks like the end of Welsh carbon steel is nearly on us .

A sad situation for an old ex British Steel employee like me and many others .

Laudrup , Martinez and Brendon Rodgers , managers come gone moved on to better roles .

Cooper , Potter now Russell Martin all Premiership level , we had them all once .

How now we cannot attract a forward thinking manager , out of the box tactician .

Back in the dark days we took a punt on John Toshack ftom Cardiff .
First Division football followed some 5 years later . Swans v Arsenal , never happen .

Win at all costs now , short term contract for a new manager plus limited budget .

Chelsea are throwing out 7 years contracts to Managers , fail after a few games pack your suncream and sit on a beach for a few years .

BADFINGER - They Sold A Million ...
at 23:47 21 Jun 2024

Great list of artists who left us far too early .

Karen Carpenter , health wise or other issues surronding her loss of life , what a voice .

Badfinger were a bit before my time .

Man at the Patti Pavillion , Deke Leonard included , vinyl 33 album in the plastic sleeve
cover them days , loved annoying the parents playing Bananas very loud .

Many years later after a break up , my ex threw all my vinyl classics in a skip for the tip .

Got over it , not bitter in any way .

Ad Hoc poll at the start of this poll suggests Reform / Coservative are ahead of Labour in our thinking around here .

Interesting to see if this thinking now carries over to the Ballot Box .

Is the Red Rosette losing its grip in Wales . Boundary changes have also brought Brecon into the Pontardawe area for electors , Yellow / Blue voters now taking out the Red Neef vote .

Opening article on this topic is a real eyeopener of background issues today .

Media reports indicate a youngster out for a lads weekend away on a rave ends up in the middle of nowhere later , flip flops and T shirt his only possessions , no water or phone .

Some alleged media reports suggest a 40 year old and 18 year old pair of men in the area were questioned , released and done a runner the next day back to the UK .

Appreciate a full and thorough police investigation needs to be done . speculation will be rife after that report , sad reading over that particular case .

Opinions then turn to revenge , family feuds and innocent people caught up in a bigger and more sinister culture around us .

Cannot see a happy ending here for the missing boy .

First mental picture im my mind on the news of his passing was him as Sgt. Oddball .

Sure his back catalogue goes way deeper than Kellys Heros , but that is how I will remember him .

The Three main leads in that film , him alongside Clint and Kojak , perfect casting .

One of the reasons my vote is looking less likely to go to Labour .

The Blue side of Westminster are just as bad , promises over the control of the small boats Resettlement agreements with Countries more than happy to take our money for a zero return to us , the taxpayer .

Have voted in the Straw Poll above , needless to say neither of the above feature .

Always thought whoever could get a grips with the small boats issue I would consider that Party in my final decision at the ballot box .

Now it seems daily record numbers are crossing and looks like The Tories have chucked the towel in on any chances of contolled immigration , a now lost cause to implement .

No help from The French either yet they were quick enough to take UK money promising to clamp down on their side or the Water .
Likewise Rwanda , took our resettlement money and nothing in return .

Uk really are top notch at throwing money at lost causes , our money of course .

Just watched a bit of WAG and First Minister Questions on my telebox , catch up stuff .

Thought Westminster was bad with 650 + MPs , our Senedd Speaker could not control 60 of our elected leaders backchatting through Gethins speaking , nonsense or not .

Who is he , no idea just seen him for the first .
Yet WAG want to increase Members to 90 .

Enough issues with Houses of Parliament decisions for Wales , yet red Rossette will win again .

My hard earned 50p on Reform , jury is out but thinking about a punt on it ..

No great loss when he went .

Reporting on Radio Wales earlier Vaughan Gething and Keir Stamer at loggerheads over who holds the Welsh financial purse .

Labour /Labour divide in Wales could be on the cards because of this dispute .

Even with potential infighting and all the nonsense in Cardiff Bay , Labour will get in here .

Bigger picture I have no idea .

Undecided . No party is filling me with confidence at the moment .

Labour seem on the brink of wanting to announce a review of Council Tax Banding which of course will be another increase in my monthly bills .

They know it will be an Election Loser if they go through with it but is it in the small print somewhere in their Manifesto.

Reminds me of the Leave vote we had , first time round I had a nailed on verdict on my vote Second time round walking up to the ballot box with my slip , entered closed my eyes and marked an X anywhere .

Think this could be a repeat performance in this General Election .
