Will be interesting to see how he does with an average Championship team. Think he will do ok and would expect a few highly rated Chelsea kids to turn up there in January.

A lot of guesswork in there considering as you rightly say we’ll never know the whole truth.

I would also point out that it’s more than understandable that Marti’s body language and interviews have come across as negative when you’re coaching a team at the bottom of the league. He looked and sounded a lot happier last night. Also the squad list will look much better when we get more of the injured players back: even Man City struggle when your best players are out.

That’s the spirit 😐

Should’ve got a third striker.

Most of the new players are now settling in and showing improvement: without the horrendous injuries we’d be much higher in the league and the squad would look alright.

I live one minute away from them lol.
Had a couple of kebabs but never tried the burger: sounds like I’m missing out.

What a kind and decent chap you are HantsR, a lovely tribute to your friend.
So sorry about your Dad hamptonhillhoop, my Dad died a year ago and I always miss phoning him to discuss and celebrate a rare QPR win after the game.

Celar and Nardi were immense tonight but agree that for consistency in a poor team Saito has been a great signing. Always looking forward and committed as hell. Ashby and Varane are improving every game too, and Madsen was alright as well.

Great win and the team spirit at the end was a pleasure to see.

Have you read back the sheer amount of abuse you were dishing out about Celar on the Stoke match thread? Embarrassing.

A fantastic goal which will hopefully transform his season and could be the turning point for the team as well. Good lad.

Stick around mate: it’s good to hear from someone else who’s got opinions that go against the herd mentality on here sometimes.

The vast majority of that 15000 people probably don’t see the situation like you do though.

And I disagree with your post.

We were very lucky with our injuries last season: in contrast we have been very unlucky with injuries this season. Not sure how we can legislate for losing the number of important first team players we’ve lost for extended periods in the last few months.

Which of the players who left should we have kept? Willock and Armstrong weren’t signing new contracts and there weren’t many complaining too much when Dozzell and Dykes left. In relation to the new signings they are all improving with the exception of Celar and maybe Madsen. Main issue is not getting a third striker at all.

Nourry is the head of all departments but you’re naive to state no-one else has any responsibility for the recruitment and medical issues and on the pitch results. Ben Williams and the medical team, Andy Belk and the recruitment team, Marti Cifuentes and the coaching team and the players are all part of this.

Following your suggestion (especially dropping him from the squad until 2025) would be terrible man management: I trust Cifuentes to know better.

I’d 100% stick with Celar. We can’t afford to give up on the lad.
Lloyd is good to come on with his energy for the second half.
Kolli has shown nothing to suggest he can play as a lone striker.

Comparing Paul Barber to Christian Nourry isn’t really fair is it.
It’s the equivalent of comparing Pep Guardiola to Marti Cifuentes.

Cifuentes gone?

I had no problem with Celar taking the penalty at the time: all the fury is with the benefit of hindsight as the bloke missed. Cifuentes made it clear that both Madsen and Celar were designated penalty takers and Celar scored a good penalty against Luton so does know how to take them. Also the booing of him when he was substituted was pathetic.

Not worth engaging too much with them mate: the pitchforks are out and the decision has been made that Nourry is a dangerous power crazy megalomaniac out to destroy the club.
QPR fans have always loved a scapegoat when times are tough.
