Our owners are naive and clearly poor at recruiting, but well intentioned in my opinion, they have the money, but need a decent senior management team below them to run it. Brighton are often mentioned, due to their access to data etc, but it’s not just that, they’re really well run. I may have shared before, but I’d recommend spending an hour listening to this, it’s an insight into how to run a club property from top to bottom with their CEO, Paul Barber. Nourry is a major problem and must be removed for us to sort this… https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-high-performance-podcast/id1500444735? |

Clearly a tactic to distract from the real issues, its embarrassing that they think we're all thick enough to fall for it. If this was the start of a strategic shift to being open with the fans it would have said so in an apologetic and engaging way...its nothing more than smoke and mirrors and in my opinion makes them look even worse...and sadly shows what a dire situation we're in. Nourry, get out of our club. |
| Forum Reply | Mark Warburton interview at 16:25 14 Nov 2024
I'm not saying the owners shouldn't be thinking about it, I'm saying we shouldn't worry about it, but if he's as bad as I believe he is, Hoos can step back in the short term whilst they recruit, you don't have to identify a replacement before getting rid. In any business, a vacancy at that level is better than a bad hire. |
| Forum Reply | Mark Warburton interview at 14:22 14 Nov 2024
I like him but he clearly needs to control everything for it to work. The 2 years experience were before he was a manager, so we don't know if he'd want that role. If he did, I'd imagine he'd want to appoint his own manager (e.g. Eustace.) Its difficult at the moment, but we just need Nourry out before worrying about who's next. |
| Forum Reply | Fan Mobilisation - Nourry Out at 14:12 13 Nov 2024
I hate the idea that fans are that superficial. We could beat Stoke by 5 and I'd still be calling for Nourry to go asap. Someone who has a terminal illness, doesn't forget about it just because they have a good day. Nourry is a poison that needs to be removed, whatever the results. |

Frustratingly, you're probably right. Just wonder if Charles Gould may have an axe to grind with him...or more likely that he's in on it I' guess. |

Great work on the research. Surely a sports title like The Athetic or WLS would be interested in looking into it, they could start by trying to interview Charles Gould at Retexo to find out the truth about what he did/achieved there. Anyone remember that film 'Catch me if you can', we need it flushed out before he does any more damage. [Post edited 11 Nov 14:19]

I hope so. We’re bottom of the league, rock bottom, if not now then when? I wish it was different, I love this club, but it’s soul is being ripped out and the bunch of clowns who put us here are deciding what to do next, time Is running out. |
| Forum Reply | Nourry should walk. at 12:41 9 Nov 2024
I won’t be there today, fair play to those who are, but I’d love to hear there is a banner unveiled with ‘Nourry Out’ on there and chants telling him to get out of our club. He’s all the traits of a narcissist, Padula rightly described him as a charlatan, and as I’ve said before, 26 is no age to run any business without great people around them. The owners are naive, Marti has made mistakes, but Nourry is a significant issue, we surely need to start telling the club we’re not happy, starting with getting him out, fast. A reset in League 1 may be needed but can’t be with Hoos and Nourry in charge, Ruben has to get rid of both and invest in a decent board with good experience. The only way to maximise value of the young players and the club is to be successful, which won’t happen under these two. |

Marti has made some bad decisions and deserves criticism for it, but he’s a good manager and isn’t the reason this club is where it is at the moment, it’s the result of years of mismanagement and a 26 year old narcissist |
| Forum Reply | 2 keepers on bench today at 22:37 27 Oct 2024
There maybe issues, who knows…but what is the point in taking players who you know you wouldn’t put on the pitch whatever happens, just to fill a bench, that is far bigger than it ever needs to be. |
| Forum Reply | Is this on Nourry? at 14:38 22 Oct 2024
We can go round the houses guessing who recommended what, but ultimately the overriding issue here is a lack of experience. From the CEO, as 26 is no age for a CEO in any business regardless of how talented, it just isn't going to work anywhere...through to the players...we've signed a raft of players with no experience of this league at a time when too many of the experienced players we have are either injured or out of form. I think most of the new signings could come good, but they needed to be coming in to a settled team 2 at a time, not 4-5 at a time. Hopefully with the return of a fit JCS, Chair, Colback & Fox, we can start to settle and get out of this. This isn't an isolated Nourry issue, its a wider management issue, but he's a major part of that problem. |
| Forum Reply | Eze not in the England squad at 09:44 13 Oct 2024
I love Eze, but in International football very very few players get the free role he needs to be effective and gets at Palace. Top of my head…Maradona, Messi, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Baggio, then I’m struggling. Given the lack of time with the players they all have to fit into a tight system. I wish it was different, but I doubt Eze will ever fulfil his potential for England, under any manager. |
| Forum Reply | Hoopsa Interviews Isaac Hayden at 14:46 10 Oct 2024
With only 1 or 2 you won't maximise the value from the players with potential. Look at Benfica and Dortmund, both have player income of €1bn in the last 10 years, by having a mix of exciting youth with potential to sell on, but also a core of experience, not just 1 or 2. To get consistent strong revenue from player sales, a club has to perform and have a stable core of experience, to allow these young assets to come and go out without massively impacting performance. To put 9 in as you're suggesting is playing a game of short term luck, its not building a long term strategy. |
| Forum Reply | Hoopsa Interviews Isaac Hayden at 13:57 10 Oct 2024
I completely buy in to the idea of building a squad of players at the right age with resale value, but they can't all be and the others can and need to add value on the pitch. Cook has no resale value but is hugely valuable. A club like QPR needs a blend, as I said on another thread, Hayden would have been my first signing in the summer, it was clear how important he was to how we set up and grew last season. I think Dembele and Saito will both be very good, but I believe they need a Hayden to succeed and fulfil their future value. |
| Forum Reply | Marti - the right man to correct this at 18:16 7 Oct 2024
Like the rest of us I think Marti had ambitions to be in the mix for the top 6 this season, so he adapted our style to try and get more creativity in there, but its not worked out. Now we're back in the bottom 3, I think he'll revert after the break, where primarily we're hard to beat, and go as we did when he came in and we build back up from there. I think he's potentially a very good manager, but he is still young and still learning, he'll make mistakes, that's fine so long as he's learning from them and continues to adapt. My only concern is that Hayden was key last season, he'd have been my first signing in the summer, but appreciate age and wage perhaps didn't allow. |
| Forum Reply | Never a straight Red Card at 23:12 29 Sep 2024
Agree he gave the ref a decision to make, but in the Championship I want our players to be doing that, but in a planned way, if the team know what each other will do, they can work together to back each other up and influence decisions, do it well and the oppo will think twice and bottle a few. This wasn’t a red for me, it was just a late tackle, it wasn’t dangerous, you have to look at the situation, he over ran the ball and dived in, he didn’t run 30 yards to recklessly lunge someone. If that’s a red by the book, the book needs to be rewritten in my opinion. I’d be appealing it. No way Smyth’s was a foul before the goal, the ref’s been bought and sold by the Blackburn players yesterday. Bad day all round. |

Personal view is that Carsley will sit in there for a year to manage us along, as he's meant to be decent, but we'll then appoint Pep at the end of the season. I'd guess Carsley felt he'll do well in the year, raise his profile and get a decent job out of it. The Irish job is a good one, but a tough one to raise your profile in the short term. |
| Forum Reply | Dykes sold apparently at 18:03 27 Aug 2024
I don’t dislike him as much as most, as I think there could be a decent player in there, but this stat says it all, that is a dreadful record, over such a long period that there are simply no excuses. |
