I "teamed up" with Neil when he was a fifteen year old amateur at our the golf club in Aylesbury winning quite a few trophies mostly (nearly all) down to him.
He used to come to the R's during the time of Sir Les but once he passed his pro exams his work got in the way apart from evening games.
He cut his pro teeth at Weston Turville before becoming assistant pro and then senior pro at The Oxfordshire.
From there he achieved what could only be described as a move to a senior premiership club at Ferndown.
His parents moved down that way soon afterwards.
Neil was a fantastic lad with a wicked sense of humour and will be sadly missed.
