Firstly I can understand kids and teenagers supporting them as they know no difference but last night there were a fair few groups of 40 something's, now I can't see them being Ex Wimbledon fans do who the hell were they supporting 10 years ago and why change? Secondly singing songs like " sit down or we'll steal your club" isn't funny and can't they see what is wrong with it.

Winkleman didn't give two hoots about Wimbledon or it's supporters. He was dragging this MK thing around to any club that would care to listen.
To him it was only ever about getting a league club into MK without having to go through the hassle of actually earning it like every other club has to do.
If not Wimbledon then QPR, if not QPR then Darlington and so on until one club with 'special circumstances' was found.
So, now you have your club in MK which has not been earnt and has nothing to do with 'saving' Wimbledon The bones of that club were dragged up there and shat out to become 'MK bastard Dons'.
An awful foul mess of a football club with it's Stepford town supporters.

A lot of them have no idea what went wrong because they are not fans. You usurped a position wrongfully and benefitted from the death of the real wimbledon. AFC is the valid continuation of that name. I will blame and am disgusted by everything to do with that "club". The players don't care but fans and owners made a choice and for that they are scum.
No sorry,AFC caused the death of their club buy deciding to give up on thm when they had the chance to save them. we are not scum we are fans of our club a fan base of over 5000 season ticket holders and an average of an 8000 gate. As you know none of us to say we are scum is wrong and what must you be like to say that. Iknow the argument will carryon for ever becauese some people will never let it go but we are here now and we are not going to disappear I did come in peace but as a mature lady scum Icertainly am not ,just Im afraid a very proud Dons fan who also hopely wont disappear too soon,God willing.

You've repeatedly missed my point. Just to make it really simple for you:
PW neither invested in an existing grassroots MK club, nor started a new one from the bottom of the pyramid. Instead he cheated and jumped straight to the highest few divisions. Everybody else has to work their way up. How is that fair?

I imagine that's what the real Wimbledon (now AFC) fans thought before Winkleman nicked their club.
MK Dons basically bought a place in League one as an entirely new club - which couldn't be further away from the original Wimbledon story of coming up through the leagues to make it to the top.
Great to see AFC Wimbledon making such great strides to replicate that story - but in today's money oriented game i doubt they can go much higher than league one without a rich benefactor.

Wimbledon fans fought long and hard against a move to Ireland, a merger with us and a move to Milton keynes but lost not through a lack of effort more through a lack of numbers. They probably should have gone out of business much like Chester and possibly Darlington then start again at the bottom. Would have been sad but a better alternative to having someone re name them and move them to another part of the country and take their league place.
Why couldn't you have just started in the lower leagues like everyone else and work your way up? If you had you'd probably be in league one anyway by now with a rich history and a club to be proud of. I personally hope one day Winkleman sells up and moves MK Dons off to Cornwall as they have a big catchment area and would deserve a football league club, perhaps rename them as well, see how wonderful you'd find it all then.

apologises I am a bit thick, can you explain in plain English for my tiny little brain how this is all different then? Did i dream the bit about you stealing another club, moving them to another par tof the country, changing their name and stealing their league place.
MK Dons should have started life in the bottom league and worked their way up like evevery other club, what Winkleman did would be similar to Glasgow Rangers buying MK Dons, moving you to Glasgow and nicking your league place so they could play in the prem one day. It's not right and should never have been allowed. I'm glad you find the whole thing acceptable but I would much rather be stupid than in any support what MK Dons stand for.

You really do not understand what happened do you? Winkleman tried to get a number of clubs to MK, including QPR but was rebuffed by all. Wimbledon were in trouble due to Sam Hamman pocketing their sold ground money and although they would have headed into administration they would have still been a league club albeit one going south to League One.
They are then moved against the fans wishes to MK. Wimbledon were getting more than 8000 to games and then suddenly get next to nothing, You get that amount due to offers of kids for a quid and such like.
I don't need to know you, the fact that you gave up on your football club because you moved 92 miles away is pretty worrying, the fact that you then decided to support a fake, franchise club makes it even worse.
Also as an aside MK Dons were forced to hand over all trademarks of the original Wimbledon as well as ALL trophies accumulated by the real Wimbledon to the London Borough of Merton because fans boycotted your club. You relinquished all claim to the name of Wimbledon when this happened. AFC were given everything by the Borough of Merton which shows what they thought.
God willing MKscum will fold and nothing like them will ever happen again in football..

As said on the very opening thread, onTuesday MK fans were heard singing "Sit down or we'll steal your club".
Seems they know how they came into existence then.
In the mid 60's, QPR nearly bought out Brentford with the aim not to merge but to effectively kill the club and take over the use of Griffin Park. Thankfully that didn't happen as it too would have been completly wrong but the hatred towards QPR is passed down the generations.
I think the vitriol shouldn't be so strong as it actually amounted to nothing but the fact they still remember shows how important it was to them. The fact that the Wimbledon>MK Dons things happened 'some time ago' does not make it any more right and should not be any excuse to forget it.
(now to invoke Godwins law) Should what Hitler & the Nazi's did some 60+ years be forgotten or thought of as unimportant or it didn't really matter merely because of the passage of time?
