You really do have a moist spot for him.
He’s not that pretty surely unless you like slapheads

No soft spot
Just observant....we have a poor squad...look at today's bench ...Fulton Naughton Christie.....all decent ayers but in the twilight of thier careers.

Apart from Cabango and Darling we don't have any centre backs.....I doubtnif both where fully fit today but they had to be played.

We as fans talk about us playing the Swansea Way...passing the ball.....This manager is trying to do so and mixers it up with long balls....amazingly after the Southampton game the.manager was critiscised for being obsessed with short passing yet he has had his critics for Vigs long kicks.

Wee are mid table and are so for a reason we have a squad of mid table quality....the Championship is strange on their day any team can get a win

If Ronald and Eom were special don't you think the likes of Leeds,or lower premier league clubs wouldn't have taken a punt?

Yeah Williams is not a "great" manager but who else could do a job with the resources

Denise critiscised for not using more of the U21s

Much has been spoken of the wage situation mayne Williams is restricted to bringing in additional players to the squad.
We have a budget...already burdened we are told with the wages for Pederson ...maybe Williams can't add additional cost ....whilst the u21 have a basic maybe there is additional cost due ti adding if and when they sit non thee bench ir play for thee first team.

Maybe I overthink things but I got it right when Potter was here and folks were slating him for not picking Routledge..

Let's sack Williams who played entertaining winning football at Notts County.....with 3 at the back.......
Let's hear it who replaces him.....and our third manager in 2 years....signs if a club in crisis....don't hear Man City fans calling for Peps head

Poll: Should Coleman ask Curt for advice/help?

Pep! Jesus Christ he’s one of the most successful managers ever.

You’re ignoring the fact he’s lost the players. We’ve seen this before, albeit for different reasons, with Laudrup and Duff.

Luadrup.....shat on by Monk

We could have won thee Europa league under Laudrup wee saw some great football in those European matches under Luadrup that season.....too many players worried they would lose PL status...
or rather has been like Monk

Before today's game we had the worst 2nd half performances of the 24 teams in the league, today compounded that position.. If that does not highlight for you just how poor a manager LW is then nothing will.. We have given every one of the top 6 teams a close match. A decent manager and we would without any doubt be near the play offs. He must go or we very quickly will be overtaken by Cardiff and facing a relegation battle. GET RID.

That's perhaps the least surprising statistic of the season.

He has consistently proven himself to be unable or unwilling to change games or even adequately react to opposing management.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Yes, but that’s not the point.

They both lost the dressing room and eventually paid with their jobs. That’s happened again and it’s very difficult to recover from.

I get it

So who is this illustrious "decent " manager?

please list possible candidates

will they come here given our squad?

will they come here given our spending power.....we haven't been able to secure identified targets such as Joe Low due to the financial constraints we are operating under

So come on let's hear it

and if we sack Williams..we have to.pay off him and his staff which further compounds our financial issues...
even placing them on gardening leave will mean should we recruit another managerial/coaching teal we will be doubling ot more so the costnof coaching the team.

Another question do we have the "expertise " within the club to select the right replacement for Williams

Put him on gardening leave, it only costs his normal wages. Put Sheehan back in charge for now. No expense and we could be no worse or could we.

do you think Sheehan will be better?
At least you have offered a name and yes this would be be a cost neutral option but is not a long term solution

What if results stay the same under Sheehan?
He didn't set the world alight the last time he was caretaker

I think it would be a safe option to get us through the season without the worry of relegation. Then rebuild in the summer hopefully in a better position with P&S, the ownership will know the figures.

Yep.

As "nothing" as Sheehan might be, at least he's not someone tactically illiterate, who clearly doesn't want to be here, and who the players appear to have about as much respect for as Labour do for the Working classes.

So they could be lieing too....but folks are lore.prepared to believe them?

With a 42% win rate he is better than Williams, Duff, Martin and Potter since relegation. Only Cooper is slightly better.

True give him the job until the end of the season, in my mind he would steady the ship. We can't go on as we are.

Williams has delivered very little in the twelve months he's been here. Players have got worse. Youth remains undeveloped. Opposing teams make unanswered tactical changes. Desperate attempts for other clubs to hire him go unanswered.

To be frank, I'd rather have Duff back. I think his points per game average is better.

Duff 1.11 points per game
Williams 1.25 points per game

Win rate
Duff 28.57%

In relation to a manager who is available and sacked for the following record at Stoke

Steve Schumacher

Every managerial appointment is important but for us now it’s critical to get the right person in.

Let’s look abroad and see who’s available - hopefully an ex player who’s done something while playing and with tactical acumen and flexible playing systems. Someone who like Laudrup played the possession game with lightening quick counters.
