A mist opportunity as Foxes hit QPR for six – Report on 16:29 - Jan 13 by Stainrod

Re the interviewer they are obviously the gentlest lobs delivered since Beefy Botham trundled in during his last season as a bowler on a soft wicket. Woodward and Bernstein, he ain't. But I think you are confusing PR with journalism. Its an in-house puff-job to play up success and play down failure. He is not going to ask why we wasted several million on Madsen, why we are developing a mediocre and inexperienced right back for Newcastle, or why he talked up our cup prospects only to field a weakened team against much stronger opposition. That would be decent journalism, but he is part of the marketing dept. Besides, even if he were a hack, sports journalists are among the most craven of the breed anyway (because they are terrified of being denied future access).

I seem to remember one interview where someone (Dave Mc?) asked Marti what his reaction was to stats showing one of our midfielders played 90mins without attempting a tackle.

4 big chances created is 10 more than Madsen

Expected goals of 1.05 also looks higher than our team average (?)

Expected, but yet to be fulfilled.

For me he spends too much time defending, which is not what he is good at or, I suspect, why we brought him in.

Unless we can find a way to get him up the pitch and use his supposed dribbling abilities in and around the box, he too is contributing very little along with Madsen. Both need to be sidelined until such time it becomes apparent that both or either one are capable of making a genuine contribution to the team.

The newbies are half way through the season now and the gulf between those that are making a fist of it and those that aren’t, is starting to emerge. How long Marti is prepared to persevere with some of them remains to be seen.

St Clive. For me this was a case of more Mist fire than opportunity. Or in contrast opportunity taken rather than mist. Players rested, other players asked to play in new combos an outing for a promising keeper with little game time. The biggest mist was not seeing more youngsters. We had no serious injuries, and the players with questions hardly exalted themselves. Job done.

The selections will now potentially become the foundation of a business case to acquire some new players and move some out on loan later this month.

Not what it should have been but that’s what I think we saw unfortunately, rightly or wrongly.

CHAT-NREE2.0 is currently crunching the numbers (which are nearly always incorrect) and developing a hypothesis based on all the FFP, sustainability and other rules before creating the legal contract for the signatures stored as pictures arr automatically added in a Zoom call review.

NDAs, gagging orders and Pre-Nups added as appendices.

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?
