The King's speech? on 10:30 - Dec 26 by mart_Goblin | Everybody has and will make their own minds up. That’s what football is all about really . Got to say Clive has pretty much nailed what I was going to say . Welcome the communication of course . All a bit ‘regal’ though isn’t it? And we lose the next 3, which is very possible , this ‘statement’ will look very dated already. Win all 3 which I hope then we can expect more communication. Nothing wrong with that . But don’t think this idea is CN’s decision. This hadscome from above . But I’m replying to this post in particular for a reason. Those that think he can do no wrong are entitled to have that opinion , I like to give people the benefit of the doubt myself, but just keep in the back of your minds why the people who have come into contact with him or are close to those that do …often turn their nose up. It’s not coincidence. |
To be fair, people in football always turn their noses up at people who weren’t in football. I wouldn’t make any judgment on Nourry based on that.

There has literally been nobody saying that Nourry can do no wrong has there? Plenty clearly think he can do no right though.

The King's speech? on 18:46 - Dec 25 by Ned_Kennedys | Which part of the made up abuse of Rayan Kolli do you find disgusting? The made up ‘forcing Kolli to join a Saudi Arabian club’ or the made up ‘forcing Marti Cifuentes not to pick Kolli for the first team’? |
I will say, your insistence that all those close to the club, *plus* Kolli’s literal dad telling you that Nourry was fcking him off to Saudi Arabia is all made up is a fabulous level of commitment to a bit.

Not like you Ned to pick at the one line out of dozens that doesn’t suit your argument. Jesus it’s pathetic [Post edited 26 Dec 15:51]

The King's speech? on 23:22 - Dec 25 by Markofthegrove | I'd like to know what Anderlecht think of him. The bloke has been working in football for two years maybe and he is dropping in quotes like the Anderlecht one. We better get used to him because he is going nowhere whilst Hoos is still chairman. I hope he learns, because right now he is just abit of a pompous tw*t that's been lucky enough to fall into a job where he has complete autonomy to do as he well pleases. I just don't trust him. |
I don't trust anybody - not completely. That's sanity, in my book. As Adam Phillips cleverly puts it, 'trust is a word we've put too much trust in'. Or, if you prefer it from the mouth of my Russian tattoo artist, 'trust nobody - not even yourself!'

The King's speech? on 00:04 - Dec 26 by numptydumpty | Nourry does write in a slightly detached way. And his, manner is very autistic in its delivery. That's not a criticism. It's merely how the way the piece is written comes across. Lucky that our upturn in form has provided the right time to put this out. Am certain he is reading loftforwords so there we have it boys and girls we have the power so any other Christmas presents wanted for our club in the new year. Place your requests and the Nourry Meister will consider your proposals. [Post edited 26 Dec 0:05]

I very much doubt he bothers to read LfW or any of the fan platforms for that matter, unless he's a glutton for punishment and vitriol etc. I read his address and found it well-written, informative and reasonably reflective while maintaining the mostly positive 'spin' one would expect from any official statement of this kind. Its timing is neither here nor there. I work as a professional editor and, if I were evaluating his text, I'd probably change very little of it. (By contrast, for the record, Marti has taken to telling us he has his 'thoughts' about the players and our injury record but he isn't going to share them, which is apparently perfectly ok with some.) Nourry's tone, given his position, is also fine overall. As a person with family members on the spectrum, I would, however, be genuinely interested to know what you mean by calling it 'very autistic' if you'd care to elaborate. [Post edited 27 Dec 3:31]

I can tell you categorically that ‘the club’ do indeed read these pages . It’s why some people are more ‘candid’ than others which I know drives the politically envious insane on here , but that’s just how it is
