MPH came to the Swans with a one good game in five reputation. That’s what he is doing, he’s getting far more game time than he should based on the fact we have an academy player who should take precedence. Aimar Govea. Yes, he had his one good game in five last night. And he played really well at times. But let’s not forget some of absolute nonsense we have had to put up with this season from him. If he can continue this form then he most certainly will be a benefit.
And making comment on his overall contribution as a player isn’t highlighting him. He gets a very big wage for playing poorly most of the time. A couple of goals (or is it one in seventeen games) this season and three assists ? Isn’t even the bare minimum a player should reach after seventeen games.

I think the height he brings to the team goes in his favour. |
He did come on at centre forward position once as a sub and seemed to do ok holding the ball up but we had dropped so deep he had no support. Do think we get out muscled in various parts of our game, Franco came on yesterday and seemed to be trying too hard chasing shadows very unusual for him which shows it is very hard to judge anyone until a settle team is found one that can command whole swaves of a game and do it consistently we are getting there but not just yet.
As yet after the substitutions we do seem weaker defensively.
All for the forwards operating a high press but that has to be done intelligently, how many times are we seeing our centre forwards running themselves ragged chasing down the ball with very little support. No wonder Cillen who did the closing down bit of the work our centre forwards are being asked to do but looks a lot better now he has dropped off not having to do the comical routine of being of chase the ball trying to catch out Championship defenders by himself. | | | |

If Williams likes MPH and sees his development it might be worth a punt in the transfer market. He is of the right age and physical. At his age he can be moulded into the Swansea way and improved.
Brentford will not have been impressed with his Portsmouth spell and they moved on another past Swansea loan player Finn Stevens to France I think quite cheaply. Finn is highly thought of in the Welsh u21 set up as Captain. |  |

Agreed. My only issue is he still tries to be a bit of a show pony at times and gets caught out, although it is less frequent now. Definitely brings something to the side including psyching out the opposition keeper at set plays. Did it affect the keeper for Cullens goal. |  | | |

Vipotnik, I have to say, had easily his best game for us. Not just the goal, he positioned himself much better and was far more involved.

This , although imo it was his best game for us yesterday too many times he went into a opposition player with the ball but inevitable lost it , at one point in the first half he had 3 players on him near the touch line and tried drag backs but failed .A willing runner but atm offers too little for me. | |

Darling, Key, Grimes and Cabango all got caught similarly when a simple pass or clearance would have taken their three players out of the game and greatly relieved the pressure they were putting themselves under, it wasn't just him in that second half we tried to force things over complicating a simple game and came unstuck.
