The squad depth is OK. Williams is happy with his squad. He has to ditch the playing style which is a version of the failed Martin era.

The style is ultra low risk. It is not working. I cannot watch this tedious football. Williams is not getting the best out of his players. The staff has been freshened up with youthfully energy but it is not evident. Anthony Wright plays attractive progressive football at u21 level.

We are in the championship and the squad as gone worse year on year for 8 years. Maybe it's time for me to give up forums sense left building if people think we are building with dwindling crowds. Its time for new life to be brought to the club. See the previous poster at Luton away and away from a keyboard.

We need to see our youngsters being given first team opportunities.

Little point in playing youngsters if it’s drilled into them to play this boring tedious football.

Have a free afternoon tomorrow & was contemplating going down for only my 3rd game of the season but am finding it difficult in making the effort.

If you told me I’d be thinking like that a couple of years ago I’d of said you are barking.

Failed Martin era then is no better than the failed Cooper era if you take that view. In fact, the failed Potter era too.

None of them would tell you they failed.

Maybe we will look back at those three managers in time and just be thankful we are still in the Championship ?

Exactly as I have said many times before, for most of my 60 years of following the Swans I would have bitten your arm off to be a established Championship club. Be very careful what you wish for.

Charlton sacked Alan Curbishly when they were eighth in the premier league.

They wanted to go to the next level.

Where have we heard that before.

I often cite that example when discussing where we are, so true.

I’d imagine other fans say Swansea sacked Michael Laudrup & replaced him with Garry Monk

the 3 of them were shafted by our D C owners and no matter how much PLANNING is done with out championship values being met by the owners am sorry but the downward spiral will continue as it has been doing the last few years

Our use of the loan market has been very poor again this season. There is sense in not building the whole team around loans, but we've brought in loan players who aren't good enough to feature at all.

So who is it that brings in the loans ?
Does anyone at the club actually ask these questions
We are short . Loans were available in positions we need
Nowt
Then ,now, free agents . What do we do,trials right back and a “ utility” chap who wanted too much wages .

We haven't had a really successful outfield loan for a few years.
Clubs maybe reluctant to send their top players here at the moment.
Also, my understanding was that this season we would look to buy players rather than loan in players in key areas. It's a good idea in theory, but where we have clear gaps they should have been filled with loans.
However, I would assume that the best ones are very much in demand and you have to be quick to get a deal in place. We obviously had permanent targets, failed to complete those deals and then by the time it was clear that we weren't going yo get those deals completed, we are left scrambling around for what is left in terms of loans.
We do best when a manager has good contacts and speaks to the players he wants well in advance. Rather than some plans based around scouting players and being just one of many clubs trying for the same ones.
Geographically we are at a disadvantage. We tend to need a personal relationship with the best players in order to get them interested

Cut to the chase, we won't pay the money for a decent loan.

Its always the managers fault mun they scout, buy and sell the players and then when they got the odd five minutes coach the actual squad its all amazing stuff, some always ignore the massive elephant in the room when apportioning blame when it doesn't suit their agenda.

Or maybe ,a geographical advantage ,away from the squalid inner city hellholes we see.
What about the lovely Gower as an area to live in
Swansea is on the motorway network.
I remember when it wasn’t and it wasn’t a backwater then and it isn’t now

The thing is, in most cases you have to aim for the next level UP in order to give yourself the best chance if staying where you are. Settle for Championship and we’ll be flirting with L1 all too often.

In training we need to include shooting. It not having a go but if we don't buy a championship striker we will struggle. I don't get people defending owners how well they done. None these people go to games. We prob score 2 second half I hope.

At the moment, I don't know why we font resign Bony.
It's not like he needs to be fast, just a physical presence in the box who can hit the target
