Anyone ever got season ticket and then wanted change - moaners behind you ?? 09:16 - Aug 25 with 2535 views | numptydumpty | After sitting at back of SAR near Loft End for last six seasons, decided this season for a change of view. Obviously six years in same seat, got to know a lot of the people around me and was good banter and decent chats etc. So moved nearer the front SAR and close to halfway. Decent view but christ all flipping mighty, four blokes behind me, constantly whinging. Our start was electric, but one mistake, can't remember who it was, but just couple of minutes after the first goal, whinge, whinge, whinge, moan, moan moan. Blokes though also that you would not want to get the wrong side of. Said to my friend, I seriously close to telling them to shut the f up. I wouldn't because we are there for the season. Anyone had this experience before. And did you stick it out or change sharpish. It certainly changes my enjoyment of attending. Always that risk if you change though.

Anyone ever got season ticket and then wanted change - moaners behind you ?? on 09:33 - Aug 25 with 2379 views | Esox_Lucius | There was one a couple of seasons ago about five rows behind me who spent the whole match shouting out coaching instructions and berating the players who didn't do what he was telling them. After a couple of games of this I turned around and and said "FFS mate why don't you give it a rest and start supporting the team, they have more than enough coaches on the bench to do the coaching, just fücking cheer them on" He told me to fück off but shut up for the rest of the game. As I sat down the old boy behind me said "thanks for that, he's already driven a couple out of their seats to another part of the ground". Following home game he started again and with the knowledge that he had driven those people out of their seats I had a proper go at him and told him what he had done. He started effing and blinding at me so I gave it back and he sat down. He hasn't been near the area since so I guess some other poor unfortunates are getting an earful every game now. I a similar incident at Burton away with two blokes who sat down just as the game started and began laying into the R's players every time they were on the ball and it was getting old real quickly. Burton scored and I turned to them and said "I bet you're happy as pigs in shit now they've scored aren't you" and they started swearing at me so I asked them why they bothered travelling hundreds of miles, spending £20-30 on a ticket just to slag the team off for 90 minutes and got a load more abuse off them and about 20 minutes later they left never to return. Always stand up to people like that, it isn't cheap to follow your team without pricks like that spoiling it for everyone. I had a season in Block F SAR courtesy of RBee and never again spent most of the games arguing with some people who never stopped moaning at our players. One of them threatened to bang me if I didn't shut up but when I tried to goad him into following it up all I got was "you ain't worth it" basically gobshite cowards.

Yeah was near the front of NU for a couple of years and a bloke a good eight rows back absolutely had to comment loudly on everything. No player of ours ever did anything wrong. Every opposition player was a cheat. Every referee against us. Standing in NL now and it’s great.

braver than me. me and my dad moved our tickets because the two men behind us just didn't shut up berating the players. lowlights included one pre-match screaming at other people near them who were suggesting Taarabt should start (this was Redknapp fiasco times) then after seven minutes - 7 - were screaming at Redknapp to make a substitution and bring Taarabt on. later in the game Austin missed a penalty and they gave him endless dogs abuse. I turned round and said "that's Charlie Austin (mk1)" and they started having a go at me. anyway, lovely seats now. nice bunch around us, even the two people who are obsessed with Paal not getting close enough to the opposition winger when the ball is on the far side of the pitch. going to be a long season for them.

Sorry to hear that you were forced to move. I'm not brave by any stretch, or young enough to scrap tbh, but if someone is going to lump me,, then have at it. I have had enough sporting injuries and a couple of motorbike crashes to know that pain only lasts for a while and if it means getting rid of pricks like that for a few seasons or more, then I feel it's been worth it. I can't help myself when it comes to "fans" slagging off their own team during a game. [Post edited 25 Aug 13:42]

Anyone ever got season ticket and then wanted change - moaners behind you ?? on 16:28 - Aug 25 with 1295 views | charmr | We had a bloke in front of us in SAR who kept getting up and down the whole game. Talked to him reasonably about how my Dad was in his 70,s and could t see the game. Got verbals back etc. My Dad wrote to the club and all of a sudden he wasn’t there any more. Club are very supportive about this stuff.
