Away support for Swans dwindling ? 12:26 - Jan 3 with 3094 views | EagleEye | This makes pretty poor reading for the much travelled Swans away support. We have the greatest distances to travel & historically we have always had decent away support. My thoughts have always been that we usually take away far more supporters than we get visiting us so this really is a surprise … https://www.bristolworld.com/sport/football/championship-away-attendances-bristo [Post edited 3 Jan 15:26]

Away support for Swans dwindling ? on 13:50 - Jan 3 with 2968 views | Azzuriswan | Cost of living? Distances involved? Would have taken far more to Leeds on a Saturday and for that matter to Stoke. Teams performances not giving fans the urge to travel across the country at the moment.
Away support for Swans dwindling ? on 14:15 - Jan 3 with 2926 views | 1983 | This is not a true reflection on our support, it takes an hour just to get out of Wales It's annoying when you see things like for example Oh look Sunderland took x amount of fans to Leeds Sunderland to Leeds is 94 miles Swansea to Bristol is 80 miles We take 2,000 - 3,000 across the bridge every time. Millwall away support is also poor a fella I work with is a big Millwall fan and said they don't take many away anymore because all the home fans come out of the woodwork for them and it's just too much of a ball ache

Exactly. Plus our Xmas away followings were far in excess of that.

Yep and going north was even worse. It never felt that we had really started making headway until we got to Strensham Services - 125 miles.

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I wonder how many bought tickets in the last few days after hearing we may have a new manager after all
Away support for Swans dwindling ? on 22:33 - Jan 4 with 2313 views | Dr_Winston | As someone who generally has no interest whatsoever in going to away games our support on the road has always seemed quite impressive to me. Going to away games isn't cheap and Swansea isn't a wealthy area. We seem to have punched significantly above our weight in recent seasons, and if that's wavering a little given how disappointing we've been over the last few years and the general financial situation then that's entirely understandable.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |
