Season s Expectations 22:15 - May 30 with 12732 views | numptydumpty | Lot more competitive league next season. And in all reality, we are competing to be top of the bottom six. Sixteenth this season would be a success, given our current state. This season ahead, personally not expecting much at all. A better home record would not go amiss. And a few more goals would be well received. If we end up top half that's a solid season and top six would be near on orgasmic given recent performances Anyone more hopeful and if you are, what gives you these beliefs !!!!

Season s Expectations on 13:07 - May 31 with 2256 views | aston_hoop | 21st. I'll try and work out in time which 3 clubs are worse than us. But Cardiff, Birmingham, Huddersfield, Rotherham, Plymouth, Stoke and Wednesday are up for consideration. Maybe Hull if they start slowly, sack Rosenior and get it wrong.

Season s Expectations on 22:17 - May 30 by Hastings_Hoops | Top half… because it’s QPR and QPR always beat the odds. |
There's something in this. Last year we were fairly widely tipped to be "dark horses" for promotion, there was a quiet air of optimism around the club. That always condemns us. Backs to the wall, odds against us, that's where we shine. So maybe not top half, but top part of the bottom half and a surprisingly stress free season. Stuff your logic

Exactly!I think we all came to the conclusion when we were slugging this out a few weeks ago that there's no point in speculating until we see what the squad looks like, and until we hear what GA's philosophy is behind the signings and releases.

No I meant too early to assume there aren't changes coming at the club. Still rthink there will be. We'll absolutely have an extremely difficult season.

That would be close to my expectations, as well. I think Plymouth will be safe. But any forecasts at this stage are highly questionable. We could sell multiple assets and replace them with cheap or free transfers. In that case it depends what attitude any newcomers bring in.

We've obviously locked horns on this a lot over the last few weeks, Antti, so I won't re-open the debate. i do get your point about the fact that coming from almost a standing start to having a finely tuned squad ready to pounce full throttle into the season is a difficult challenge, but if we assume that GA and LF or however they're sorting out the squad turnover are aligned in terms of their vision and expectation, then why should it be anymore of a challenge than it will be for all the other teams in the division facing high squad turnover?
Season s Expectations on 17:41 - May 31 with 1831 views | BushRanger82 | I expect us to be a helluva more competitive in the Championship. I expect us, if we are drawn against lower league clubs in either of the cups, to actually play as though we are a league, or leagues, above them. In all, I expect Queen's Park Rangers to be the professional football club, it's supposed to be. To aim as high as possible, in every competition, league, league cup, fa cup. Nobody, but nobody, should settle for less. There's been too much of that, almost from day 1 in 1886.
Season s Expectations on 18:14 - May 31 with 1797 views | Dorse | Another 19 points would have seen us in the play off shake up last season. Even taking into account our now annual bed shitting, just getting another 5 or 6 points would have seen us right. If Gaz can't find us 5 more points than last time, I would be very surprised.

Season s Expectations on 19:09 - May 31 with 1722 views | PunteR | I'm expecting to win a few games, lose a few and draw a few. Probably another manager appointment, loads of injuries , a couple of cracking games sprinkled with some absolute dog sh!t., mainly dog sh!t. . We'll probably win two games on the bounce and think we can make the playoffs then lose the next game 5-1 or something and think we're relegation candidates at some point at the start. I'm expecting no consistency, a bit like lumpy custard. Lower half ,17th or something. Or relegation. Definitely not promotion in any way shape or form. I'm gonna try and do as many away games as I can(won't be many) and try and make the most of whatever i have left in the tank supporting this club. Hopefully a refuel will happen. Anyway. I'll be in 2nd gear chugging along like most seasons these days.

Season s Expectations on 20:56 - May 31 with 1612 views | captainmycaptian | Well having stomached a few off the games last season. I do hooe that the style of football is somewhat improved. Losing is part of playing the game especially being a rangers fan. Just in my years we always played a somewhat enjoyable, engaging game. Maybe I was just younger, the atmosphere was better ? being 1980s on wards I saw some great games . The optimist in me says that we can play a fast attacking football akin to the old British style with a very very fit squad of players that want to play here. GA might be able to create something here. Gerry Francis played something similar............. (tin hat on) he had much much better players I know. The pessimistic says we are facked so does the realist but look at Luton if you can without smashing something. They did the hard hard work that we can't seem to.get right. So one never knows but with out some change somewhere.this once small but great club will never see the return of the warm winning days. [Post edited 31 May 2023 21:10]

Like he said Zero expectations, hoping for marginally less shite than last season At least GA & Dobbo aren't walking in to a shitstorm this season, and most of those w@nkers from last season have moved on Renewed again
Season s Expectations on 21:26 - May 31 with 1587 views | Harbour | Really hoping the home form improves drastically and we become much harder to beat would take more draws to start. We had 11 draws and 22 defeats last season convert some of those defeats will improve league position. As others said so much depends on what team we put out and the resiliance or not of the players. Really hoping we do not repeat the usual post xmas collapse. Going for a optimistic mid table position. Start optimistic before the realism kicks in .
Season s Expectations on 21:57 - May 31 with 1556 views | davman | 0.85 points per game this season. Over 46 games that is 39 points. I think we'll do worse than that and 35 points only means one thing in this division. We were utterly rank since October and do not have the personnel for Ainsworth's style. Get rid of Adomah, Johansen, Dozzell, Kelman, do not sign Archer or Martin and we might do better than I think, but that looks unlikely. We have not changed anything above the manager, have more that needs changing and less budget than ever, so this is an utterly vital window. How anyone puts us above the bottom three in this league at this stage is beyond me. Amazing that we are only 5th faves to go down. We really were dog awful last season.
