Glass salter on 22:28 - Apr 19 by golborne | But he was absolutely pony in a back 2. Look at our defensive record up until the Norwich game in Dec 2020/21. Ok footballer, but an ave/poor CB. The only time we’ve looked ok with 2 cb’s is when Beale (spit) brought Balugon in for 8-10 games. We were shit, defensively, at the beginning of the season, but at least he recognised it and brought Balugon in. Other option was go go back 3, which I much prefer, given (when on song) we’ve liked to commit nos forward. A bandage and never die attitude only gets so you so far - just look at our (really) hopeless manager.. |
Yes he was better in a back three but it’s not really any kind of comparison when his replacement is rarely available to actually play football. The difference between Barbet and Clarke-Salter is night and day. It’s symptomatic of what’s gone wrong at the club. We had a manager who had us finishing upper mid table but decided it wasn’t good enough. Likewise, a centre back in Barbet who played every minute of every game and gave his all for the club but suddenly he was surplus to requirements. Sometimes the grass isn’t greener.
Glass salter on 22:41 - Apr 19 with 1602 views | ParkRoyalR | Glass Salter's defending for the first goal was so lethargic, beyond woeful, saw replay angle from behind and he could just not be arsed to close down and pressure his man.

Glass salter on 22:32 - Apr 19 by OldPedro | Dread to think how much that would cost us as he has 3 years left. We need to find another club willing to take him for a nominal fee so we don't have to pay his contract up |
If he was a horse he’d have been dog food by now , 3 more years of this fecker has to be a joke

Glass salter on 21:51 - Apr 19 by Rs_Holy | surely the bloke has to look for a different career. |
And the idiot who put this clown on a 4 year contract should also be looking for a new career. From this morning.

Glass salter on 22:05 - Apr 19 by Lblock | Why? Matty Rose carved out a very respectable wage for seasons doing this. There’s always mug clubs about willing to part with large amounts of folding each week for players that give you little in return. Just so happens we’re the biggest mugs of the lot [Post edited 19 Apr 2023 22:10]

Matthew Rose. Picture the scene, 85mins on the clock, 1-1 at Ninian Park, we are under the cosh, long ball upfield and by some miracle MR springs the offside trap and must about 20 yards clear with only the keeper to beat. Btw if you think the outcome of this tale is the one where he slots it in the bottom corner you'd be wrong because if i remember correctly it cleared the home end and was still rising as we headed for the car park.

With QPR the grass is NEVER greener! How many times have we had that new manager bounce?
| Scooters, Tunes, Trainers and QPR. |
