A shock.
Spoke to him a few weeks back and informed him of the passing of his old team mate Peter Davies.
A lovely fella.
RIP Alan.

RIP Alan.
77 isn’t old these days.

I’m pretty sure Chinaglia when he was at Cosmos worked him a route in to LA Aztecs in the 70’s. On loan from Southport !

Nice little clip in one of the videos in the link of how away trips were in the 70s, and of him scoring against the Hammers in a cup run. also sight of Brian Evans.

its this one....

Alan used to live on Gwynedd Avenue, Townhill, and on a Saturday he used to catch the bus into town when we were playing at home. Us youngsters used to wait for him at the bus stop and chat to him until his bus arrived - what a difference to players nowadays!!

RIP Alan YJB.

Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎
