Looks from the photos I’ve seen that Tipuric couid be in a bit of trouble.

I know pictures can be deceiving but it’s quite damning for him. There’s no place for gouging in rugby. It’s incredibly dangerous and should be met with very severe punishment if proven.

I thought Tiouric was one of the good ones too.

Not seen that, but if he's done anything like that he needs to get a long, long ban

If I was defending.

Slowed down footage, could be so different at full speed
He is from behind
Irish player was falling to the ground
He appeared to go lower and hand moves up
Very easy to accidentally do something like that especially when two players are moving quickly.

Can't see a case there

Gats can be ruthless. He's a very clever rugby man. Need to use this 6N as a stepping stone. Maybe not all the kids at once, but certainly need to start building.

If you did, I didn’t see it so apologies. But worthy maybe of more debate.

I agree with the single frame evidence being flimsy but doesn’t look good.

I’m sure a good lawyer would get him off. Know any John?😂

There's nothing to see there.

There was no complaint from Ireland, and the TMO didn't pick anything up, and it was so early in the game - so there was almost 80 mins to analyse any foul play.

Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎

Doesn't look good as a still, but in the video I think he's trying to get past the players head to get close to the ball and the speed of that ruck, definitely not deliberate for me the fact that the Irish lad didn't complain suggests to me that he felt nothing in it.

Be surprised if anything does come from it, but it might be classed as contact with the head so it's one of them, in Tipuric's defence he doesn't strike me as a player that would do that.

I agree regards Tipuric’s temperament. Not the type.

He did get done for a trip in an Ospreys game I saw a little while ago, he no doubt had a yellow card for it, just that I can't remember the game or if he did get a yellow, but as for gouging I just can't see him doing that.

Secret Santa in Italy

Italy prop banned for giving rotten banana in Secret Santa

Benetton Treviso and Italy prop Ivan Nemer has been suspended from playing until June after giving team-mate Cherif Traore a rotten banana in the club's Secret Santa gift swap.

The Italian Rugby Federation (FIR) said Nemer must complete an awareness course and coach in an FIR scheme helping asylum seekers play rugby, and his Italy Test future will depend on his participation and completion of said training.

"I deeply regret what happened," the 24-year-old said in a statement. "The stupidity of my gesture, the damage caused to a friend, the harm caused to my team, to my team-mates, to the country I represent and to the game I love. Racism does not and will never play any role in my life, just as it should not play any role in the lives of any of us."

And if you hadn't already guessed, this is Cherif Traore:

Now that’s the way to handle it.

The FA and FIFA reserve that level of punishment for thinks like wearing 5he wrong sponsor logo.

Great player now past it

The selection is interesting and in some ways it’s a free shot fir Gatland

Toby and Tips looked shot to pieces. Christ is going to be a real player and need to start his international career

Bigger.. just wtf is he doing to be selected. He slows everything down but his gob is still full on. Finn Russell will humiliate him .

To have young Rio facing VDM is cruel . I fear for the boy .

We could be mullered out of site
