I put the Royal Variety Show on last night, in the hope of some light relief, it was watchable until that cretin Simon Cowell showed his face and introduced last years winner of BGOT who was rubbish along the that Comedian that followed him shortly after, I found them both about as funny as dish water, why do they think the comedians when that's all the do is make up stories about themselves, I remember the good old days when comedians were actually comedians, Dave Allen, Ken Dodd etc this lot today wouldn't get a gig at the local social club back in those days.
I'll just mention again that I can't stand Cowell or his cronies, just mentioning this after going off the beaten track above 
Oh, and I won't be watching SPOTY either, couldn't think of anything worse. be like putting up with Lineker and Shearer all over again and Ferdinand for that matter, although he was away with the fairies for the most part [Post edited 21 Dec 2022 18:40]

I’ve not met Kevin but have spoken to people in Leeds who have. He is exactly as he appears. No airs and graces and dead honest .Hard lad though ,as is obvious. | |

It breaks my heart seeing what Rob has gone through and i just cannot bring myself to watch anything about him now as it upsets me too much as I've seen him in his pomp, getting smashed by monsters twice his size, getting up and scoring tries from anywhere on the pitch.
As for King Kev, what more can you say, he is a living legend for what he has done for his best mate. |  | | |

Oh FFS, so sorry to hear that mate.
I don't blame you for feeling the way you do, both my parents have gone, being away from home for so long made their passing easier in a way but harder as I didn't see them as much as I would have liked, my memories of my youth and good times when I came home get me through, I have a good family unit oop north which helps, they also miss them but obviously not as much as me.
