I couldn't watch the game and I certainly think Martin out talk is premature, but it's clear we don't have the players for the system. We play a system that relies heavily on wingbacks to create chances, and don't have any decent ones.
I'd normally say that Martin needs to acknowledge this and change the system, but what worries is me that we don't have the players for any other system either. The squad is practically devoid of any pacey, skillful players who run at defenders and can beat a man.
If Martin was serious about changing the system to 4 at the back this year, the first priority aside from strengthening at centre half should have been signing some proper wingers. We haven't (yet).

Let's hope he's gone before a Premier League team or other similar level team obtain Benda's signature. We're scarce on saleable assets and it would be disastrous to see arguably our most talented youngster leave for nothing due to a lack of opportunity. | |
