How come you used to have to show your season tkt or prove that you were an R to get in but last night any tw@t wearing red and white was allowed in to give it large on our patch?

I know almost nothing about the Premier League even though I try to catch the big games every now and then at the end of the season. But I will say this, Queens Park Rangers is just a fukking sick ass team name. Just sounds so cool.

I've noticed away fans in the C&S in their colours loads of times . The only time I remember restrictions was for a Millwall game a couple of seasons ago when I couldn't get in. Sod that! I've only been going there last few seasons and never had any problems at all.
Loads of other pubs about with a QPR fan only policy.
I do agree with you that this is a R's pub thru and thru but it is also an open pub and the Millwall game was the only time they have forced people around the back and having to show membership or colours of the Rs.
Trouble is that the C&S will not stop anyone from coming in, if they behave. Why would they cut their own financial throats? Before the game, the place was jam packed, real jam packed. I wonder if this may have been their best day (before and after the game) in years.

I drink in the C&S before all home games with LBlock & a few others and to be honest as noted all ready there is normally a sprinkling of away fans.
I have no issues with away fans being in there, such as last night, as long as they are respectful of where they are and don't antagonize the locals.Over the years I have drank at away games in ' Home ' Pubs where QPR fans were warmly welcomed on the basis we didn't take the piss!

I went there for our game last season with a few of my RaRa and Bees mates no problem it’s a great pub.Away fans are allowed in all the pubs in Brentford on match days including Millwall and we never have any problems.

Don’t like the C&S. Appreciate its R’s status, but it’s never appealed to me. Not been in for ten years, and was only an occasional visitor at the best of times. Sometimes met up there when we had a nasty home fixture.

I've boycotted the c&s since I was refused entry during the Leeds faurlingate game as I didn't have a match ticket - *during the game itself*
Yh my point exactly
Before you needed your mum & dad & talking dog to get past security (where are they?) but don’t bring a mate who hasn’t got a home/ season ticket or supports the opposition coz there not welcome .
But now they let anyone in?

There have very rarely been any doormen on the Crown and Sceptre. I can't see what the problem is? One could walk into any boozer in Brentford and not have a problem. Also if anyone of them got over excited, words would be exchanged. At first.
As long as I remember they've let in well behaved away fans. Don't have a problem with it myself, as most other places are home only, and it's far enough away from the ground to not be any problem

I only tend to go there when I'm meeting away fans, so I'm glad it's not R's only!

I actually prefer drinking in pubs with fans of both clubs. Always good to get chatting to the locals at away games I find.
Even ended up drinking in the Stanley arms in Bermondsey before the Millwall game the other week. I didn't fancy shouting out "you R'sss", but it was fine, and a lot cheaper than drinking in London Bridge

Me, too. Some of my favourite awaydays have involved a few roasters with the locals.

On the away fan thing, there's always a smattering in there. Some bring more than others and we've got to know the Birmingham fans who go in there really well, good lads and it's one of the better Saturdays of the season when they're down. Luton had a few and we had a good chat with them, West Brom always bring a few in. I like it that way TBH.
Brentford do bring rather a lot, and the pub was absolutely rammed before the game which is good for Gerry and bad for anybody that wants to get to the bar. I wasn't in there afterwards the other night but having been in there after they've beaten us before they can be a little bit brash and full of themselves, which recently ended up with a certain one of their website guys being told in no uncertain terms to wind it in or it would be wound in for him.
Problem is it only takes one thing like that and suddenly we're door staff, plastic glasses, home fans only and a struggle to get mates in and so on and so forth the absence of which is currently one of the reasons it's the best pub in the Bush. So I did get in the middle of them that night, though I kind of wish I'd let it play out

Been drinking there for nearly 50 years and can never recall restrictions apart from prudent measures v Millwall. Sat next to couple of Brentford fans on Tuesday nice lads just looking for a pint and a good game. Pub was busy v early I got there about 430 and just managed a seat just one of those days not normally that rammed that early for a mid week game. Bar staff were good and service considering how busy it was wasnt a major issue.

I wonder who that could’ve been…..
He’s an absolute plum that fella. I had a fling with an ex of his many moons ago and she said as much herself. She’s a Bees fan too and reckoned he wasn’t that much of a fan and was just into it for attention. Bernadette was her name.
It’s always the short ones.

I recall Ray Wilkins sat at one of the tables one Saturday, chatting away to anybody who'd listen, was a decent pub for yapping after the game (depending on results of course).

I'm fine w away fans not an issue I was surprised there were so many that's all ,you couldn't get a drink they had obviously all agreed that it was the place to all meet & they wouldn't have been allowed in Princess Vic,White Horse ,Pocket watch etc especially w colours
I think its a bit like sitting in the home end at an away game, you keep your mouth shut and adopt low key behaviour
Just stuck in the craw a bit I wouldn't have gone in before the game & didn't want a pint there after the game and have to listen them giving it the big one, shame as it is a r's pub.
I'm sure they will implement a different system for the Milwall game

I think we have the best solution at Brentford where away fans have the pick of any pub and we haven’t had any problems that I know about since our time in the championship over the last 5 years Monday night I was in 2 pubs in the bush ended up at the stewart arms where there were Home and away fans drinking no problems.Does annoy me when I go to places like Wolverhampton West Brom Bolton to name a few we’re you can’t get a drink near the ground.Think most resonable fans respect the hospitality at away pubs and don’t give it large and like me enjoy a chat over a beer with away fans.
