Confirmed as new head of recruitment.

Scott most recently held similar positions at Brentford and Watford, winning a number of plaudits for his work at Griffin Park, which included identifying and signing the likes of Neal Maupay and Ollie Watkins.

Some encouraging words there for me, seen as I'm not fully aware of the roles Scott has previously undertaken.

"Andy Scott’s role at Brentford saw him build up a network of recruitment and scouting specialists that eventually blossomed from its UK roots to an overseas operation."

He's certainly been in some interesting roles with Brentford and Watford. The above interview didn't blow me away but just because someone isn't a great in an interview capacity doesn't mean he's not good at his job. If I compare what I've of Stuart Webber then Webber is far more impressive, however Webber has recently been linked with Man United so it's not really a fair comparison.

I read Brentford fans not being very complimentary of him yesterday but that was when he just left the club for Watford so perhaps explains a lot.

He was involved in the early days of Brentford's moneyball project as I believe Rankersen went to Brentford in 2015 and Scott left in 2017. In the time Rankersen was there Scott achieved promotion to head of recruitment so he must have something about him.

All in all, I look at your appointments this summer and you certainly appear to be putting in building blocks put the club in a better place.
