Just to be clear I agree that he is *potentially* a quality CB - my first post didn't make that clear. But *right now* he doesn't have the quality (however that is defined and I would include the mental toughness, the rigours of concentrating at such a high level every game for example) to be playing week in week out at this level and in such an unforgiving league. He obviously needs a break. | |

It *did* happen for him he was very good for a dozen games.
But maybe the pressure, maybe wear and tear have seen him struggle for the last month or so, so he could use a break. Happens to better, older and more experienced players than Joe Rodon. | | | |

He is being put in the spotlight because he is being over exposed by poor mid field play and Potters tactics of Wingbacks.
The fact that he is struggling is being made worse because of those factors, better players than him have had similar problems. | | | |

He is coming under pressure but we can only let the manager sort out the playing system.
Watching the Leeds Villa game it looks like Villa will be a big test for Rodon. He will be pulled all over the shop if we cant get our wingers into the game and push Villa onto the back foot.
Having a learning the hard way period is our Jo though this season promises to throw up more good performances.
I am surprised Naughton is getting little game time at Right Back or Left Back. |  | | |
