McClaren would be expensive to sack, he's brought a lot of staff with him which is why i think if results keep going badly they'll remove Ferdinand from his role to look like they are doing something
Dave Mc on Twitter on 08:21 - Aug 20 with 2927 views | paulparker | what people are missing is if we do sack McLaren do you really trust this board to get it right ? TF appointed him imo over the head of our DOF ,why was there not a shortlist of potential mangers interviewed ? McLaren is Tonys man and has been for a while even when we had Olly , yet another rank appointment, its up there with Redknapp and Hughes this board has had 7 managers in just over 7 years and Tony still talks about stability !! what makes it worse is fans still swallow all of this and have convinced themselves that QPR cannot compete and that no one in football wants this job the club is a mess and a laughing stock and until this clown of manger and board go things wont be getting better
| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

Dave Mc on Twitter on 08:11 - Aug 20 by Esox_Lucius | Everyone seems to be labouring under the misapprehension that we have the money to pay off SMC and attract proven managers, pay them what they are worth and get them to operate with no transfer budget. That is not just a case of losing touch with reality but evidence that reality isn't even a factor in your thinking. Worst case scenario is that we are stuck with what we have for the immediate future and whatever division we are playing in we struggle. Best case scenario is that we are stuck with what we have for the immediate future and whatever division we are playing in we struggle. We are on one of QPR's cyclical downturns so strap in and ride it out. We have survived two such downturns since I have been watching QPR and I have no reason to not believe that I may still have one more ride on the happy train before shuffling off. After the Ale Faurlin debacle it was obvious that the League wanted to pay us back and that is why they invented FFP; to make sure that they could disrupt the fan base, put us in financial trouble and eventually see us go out of business, it's up to the fans to make sure that doesn't happen. |
Don't go along with the conspiracy theories. The blame for all of this lies squarely at the feet of the owners. If they hadn't monumentally mismanaged the club FFP wouldn't have been an issue because we would still be in the Premier League drowning in money.

We are where we are, and we have a huge battle on our hands and there is absolutely no point wasting time, energy and emotions looking back. What's done is done, now get stuck in and get what needs doing.

Dave Mc on Twitter on 08:32 - Aug 20 with 2839 views | timcocking | It's all so disappointing. We almost certainly would have done ok this year if we'd kept the squad and the management intact. Absolutely unnecessary. It's Tony listening to know nothing fools/Brentford fans in disguise on twitter again and it looks like we're in deep sh!t because of it.

Spot on. I didn't see Saturday's game. I'm presuming it wasn't good(!). And I'm not sure what Dave Mc has said that's so shocking. We got hammered. We've no choice but to get over it.

Here is the right medium for having a rant . Those of us that are going tomorrow will get behind the team I believe. There is nothing to be gained by being negative in the ground . If the Club Management or players come on here that is their problem ,this is a fans forum ..our place | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I think it's shocking that Mclown was clearly offered players from the scouting network ( Penrice ) but as he hasn't a clue about lower league players he only wants players he knows ! This is basically going away from what we've been doing the last couple of years and a massive risk relying on old loans

Correct. And rather than sack Mclaren (which we can't afford to) surely the message to him is it's his job to sort things out.

The other thing we need to do tomorrow is try and support Ingram (if picked) Laying into him after an early mistake will knock his confidence even more.

From what ive read on here i dont think its as simple as just get over it. There looks to be some genuine issues that needs sorting. No way should fans just sit and accept that Maclaren is trying to change the clubs latest way of bringing our youth players through and start loaning in mid 30s players because it suits him. Yet again we seem to be lurching in another direction. This seems to be coming from the boardroom. Obviously not mr Bhatia as he's just walked through the door. This is TF and Rubens mess. Maclaren needs to get a tune out of the players he's got like Ollie was doing or he needs to go as he's not the right manager to take us forward.

I see your point, PunteR Like any coach or manager, McClaren will have to do what he's told and will have to accept the playing staff he's allowed. I would expect any manager to have a bit of to-and-fro with his bosses about resources, that's to be expected. I don't see any proof that there's anything more than that going on at the moment, to be honest.

Dave Mc on Twitter on 10:57 - Aug 20 with 2209 views | BostonR | Would be interesting to be a "fly on the wall" at Harlington this morning. Dave Mc is normally spot-on and given Amit's tweet on Sat, I imagine there is some honest and tough talking going on. If SM feels he has been under-sold and does not want to work with Les, that appears to be a "non-negotiable" position, so he has a choice to make. However, if the loans are incoming it might be a good time to step-back and give SM more time. Hopefully Lee and Amit can get everyone aligned and look to fix what appear to be some deep-rooted positions at the club.
Dave Mc on Twitter on 11:02 - Aug 20 with 2168 views | 2Thomas2Bowles | Let me get this right. Olly told the club they needed to replace the experienced players they lost and was sacked for it. Steveeeeee is saying the club needs to replace the experienced players they lost Where is irony when you need her.

Whether we would now be in the Premier League now or not FFP would still be an albatross around our necks and all other teams of our size. If not the favourites we would always be there or thereabouts when relegation was discussed. In fact the longer you are in the PL the more high earners you would have hence the bigger effect FFP would have when relegated.
Dave Mc on Twitter on 11:18 - Aug 20 with 2081 views | aston_hoop | Didn't McClaren walk away from the Forest job when it turned out the squad was dreadful and so was he? No point in getting rid, he'll walk himself anyway! We are definitely under the mistaken impression at QPR though that managers with their reputation still intact would like to come to QPR and have it ruined!

Dave Mc on Twitter on 11:21 - Aug 20 with 2050 views | Standard67 | Mistakes have undeniably been made but its very early to start chucking the baby out with the bath water. Saturday we set up OK, frustrated them, got the equaliser. They kept coming at us, we couldn't stem the flow, when it went 3-1 we should have shut up shop, that was the mistake, we kept trying to counter, they had too much pace, too much momentum and we folded, feebly. It was a disgrace that last ten minutes but if we concentrate on the first 45 minutes instead of the last ten there were some positives. Not many teams are going to be getting points at West Brom. They are a Premier League team relegated despite winning four of their last six games last season under the manager now in place. They've kept most of their better players and added the likes of Gayle so perspective is required here. I was at least as disturbed by the capitulation against Sheff Utd as I was by what happened on Saturday and by McClarens reaction to it which was to praise our performance and blame the officials. There we were at home, ahead and should have won. Saturday we were always going to be up against it but we got a lot of things right in terms of setting up and keeping the opposition at bay early doors. Some places we are going to have to develop a siege mentality, we just don't have the players to go toe to toe but that doesn't mean we cannot pick up points. Had we played with the same mentality throughout the game instead of chasing rainbows second half we'd have lost, 3-1 maybe 4-1 which is bad enough of course but you can get over that sort of defeat. 7-1 you can't dress up, its a disgrace but its happened and thing to do now is work out why and stop it happening again, with 43 games to go there is plenty of time to do that. As for new faces? Well, I'm not sure we can realistically attract players on loan who are going to drastically improve things. New manager? Well my question there would be such as who? McClaren has vast experience, he deserves until Christmas at least.
