I think your username is quite apt at this very moment
The trouble is that these 3 games we will be lucky to get a point whilst the teams you mention plus a few more are over 4 pts ahead of us and are playing each other which will mean that several of them will be further away from us
Ive mentioned in another topic that the teams from 10th to 17th are on 26 to 23 pts with 14 to 15 games to go so imho teams will needs 40 pts to avoid relegation this season
Can you honestly see us picking up 23 pts from 15 games?
yes 23 from 15 is not impossible look at last season 13pts from last 5 games . Towards end of season teams who need to win most normally win. Other teams on beach . I say 6 wins 4 draws from last 15 games . 39pts

Your blind optimism won the day last year Lifey, so I’ll keep my mouth shut and cross my fingers.
People are giving up Mon, our next 3 games are against 3 very goods sides but they are not unbeatable. Now is the time for our players to earn their corn.

Positive is Arsenal and Liverpool have average defence. If we can keep it tight at back - big if I know - we may just pick a couple of points up before a run of 'winnable' games. Trouble is we've lost or drawn 'winnable' games already. Brighton away big one if we're not too far adrift.

As to the original post, I hope I'm wrong, but I fear that we won't win two more games this season in the league.
We give away soft goals so easily and score too few so, yep, I think that’s a fair conclusion. Not holding that lead against a terrible and timid Newcastle was probably the towel going in. As Lifey says though, where there’s life, there’s hope.

To be fair we should have won the Newcastle game if the clear penalty had been given. Can't see us getting anything out of the Liverpool game. Their defence can be weak but can't see us troubling them. Arsenal and Leicester do have their off days (especially Arsenal) so may scrape a couple of points. It's the 5 games after those that will make or break us.

We won't lose all 3. Said all along that 36 points will do it, maybe 37. We've games against all that in the mix ( Newcastle aside)... Even tho table doesn't and won't look good in a few weeks, am I the only that thinks we can win 6 games plus a draw or 2 ?
Cough cough....I thank you.

Last season Carlos managed well versus against the big sides: we did the double versus Hudds and Newcastle. We struggled in games we were expected to win. So an Arsenal win is well within reason.
