The food fascists might as well make it 70 a day for all the chance of their recommendations being met. 2 or 3 a day is far more likely to be given credence
A bit like the 14 units a week booze limit recommendation; many perfectly sensible adults exceed that every single week (I do, although being a Daley can't be classified as sensible*) and whilst excessive drinking that leads to domestic or social problems is to be deplored, and the health service is seeing an increase in young adults with liver disease through constant excessive drinking, having such low recommended limits simply leads the so-called experts to not being taken seriously
