Now lets move on to 2/3 new signings this week so that Mr Clement can rely on a squad that over the length of the season can consolidate a mid table position.

The Official Crystal Palace Vs Swansea City Premier League Match Thread on 17:08 - Aug 26 by Dr_Winston | I don't think anyone expects VdH to usurp Mawson or Fernandez in the side, but some of the dramatics over his inclusion in the team today were bordering on hysterical. We've not got a bad squad. With a couple of additions in the right areas we can easily aim for a decent mid table position. |
Manson is of course more than decent most of the time, but today he was poor. VDH on the other hand was exceptional. [Post edited 26 Aug 2017 17:21]

LOL. Despite the 3 CBs i thought the defence looked very shaky indeed. Lucky for Swansea Palace's game plan focused on refusing to deploy their main attacking threat.

Get down to Specsavers and order some rose tinted specs. They're all the rage you know. I need a pair as well clearly. Obviously we enjoy the 3 pts but it was like training ground attack and defence and we were lucky in the end. Like it or not that's how it was.

The Official Crystal Palace Vs Swansea City Premier League Match Thread on 18:00 - Aug 26 with 2402 views | JackSkellington | Is today the point where we should officially start worrying about the signing of Mesa? Not playing the first game of the season is one thing, but not making an appearance today when even the likes of Routledge and McBurnie got on the pitch? What's going on there? I don't think I buy the theories about him having a bad attitude, but there's obviously some reason why he didn't play.

Gosh, I'm so sorry you've taken it so hard. Now, get your head out of your @rse and look at what's in front of you. I said it was a good win, I said the end justifies the means but I'll also say now that those tactics will end more in disappointment and could easily have done so today. So I'll carry on making comments I wish to whether you or others like it or not.

The Official Crystal Palace Vs Swansea City Premier League Match Thread on 14:42 - Aug 26 by jojaca | This has got to be one of the worst looking line ups we have had in our Premiership era. Hope to be proven wrong?, but we don't have any gold dust quality in team anymore, just a bunch of footballers flirting with life in Premiership. |

That's right, the clever tactc of making the Dutch master de Boer give team orders that whenever they got the ball into a position where they could whip a dangerous ball in to Benteke, they should instead knock it back to the CBs. Along the ground. He's gonna go far that boy.

Yes, we were away from home, Clement called it perfectly, 4 points on the board, plenty of time for Mesa

i have many reasons why he didn't play - intelligence at the fore-front - both IQ and EQ - clearly as sharp as a marble, way off the pace PC is looking for heads-up intelligent footballers what do u think are some reasons he didnt play ?

Jojaca's posts have been way off the chart for a while now. Great win and much needed goals for our strikers early on (much earlier than Llorente) and 4 points from that start is superb.

The Official Crystal Palace Vs Swansea City Premier League Match Thread on 17:00 - Aug 26 by Dr_Winston | So, the certain for relegation Swansea squad picks up a win on the road despite selecting the apparently hapless Van Der Horne, Naughton and Fer. I suppose a bit of reflection from certain quarters would be too much to hope for, but we'll see. |
What's wrong with Fer? | |

The Official Crystal Palace Vs Swansea City Premier League Match Thread on 18:19 - Aug 26 with 2272 views | EasternJack | ON the way back home after the match. I thought we came up against a palace team that didn't want to turn up today. Parking the bus against us in the first half was bewildering- and caused us to play BrendanBall. Observations from me: - Solid performance - looked comfortable until they started playing after 60mins in - Clucas looks the business - although if he's going to play there then what are w going t o do with Mesa. - Loving this formation, although an upgrade on VDH (who was good today) is needed. - Apart from a couple of wayward clearances, Naughton was really good today. Defensively and off offensively - Tammy looks like he enjoys playing for us - Bony holding up play in this formation would work really well for us

I'm ecstatic about the three points, because I think it was pretty vital, and I would have taken a Stoke special, but yeah, I think that's fair. I'd like to see more pass and move; less pass and watch. Push up ten yards and centre halves bring the ball out. I guess the diamond is the killer of any width which is definitely Monk Central. I'm a bit concerned how Olsson seems to being made to turn into Taylor.
