I don't think anyone expects VdH to usurp Mawson or Fernandez in the side, but some of the dramatics over his inclusion in the team today were bordering on hysterical.
We've not got a bad squad. With a couple of additions in the right areas we can easily aim for a decent mid table position. |

i'm gong to stop now but this reminds me of the early Monk era, when I saw very, very little to be positive about, despite seemingly acceptable results.
That could well change but really the signs don't look good to me.
Of course Napoleon said he'd rather have lucky generals than brilliant ones, but then again he did end up in the Spanish non-leagues!

- Tammy looks like he enjoys playing for us

I'm ecstatic about the three points, because I think it was pretty vital, and I would have taken a Stoke special, but yeah, I think that's fair.
I'd like to see more pass and move; less pass and watch. Push up ten yards and centre halves bring the ball out. I guess the diamond is the killer of any width which is definitely Monk Central.
I'm a bit concerned how Olsson seems to being made to turn into Taylor. |  |
