£40m upfront and £5m in add ons.

If true, we really need to get this done. The amount of transfer business needed within a couple of weeks is daunting and there is no chance of Siggy playing for us again.

£45m in total would be an excellent deal and way more than we'd have got if Jenkins was still in sole control. Time is of the essence now however so you're right, if there's a deal in the offing get it done. We've made our point so the time for posturing is over.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

At last! Not that I want him to go, but sooner the better. It hopefully gives us a full month to get new signings in now.

Don't forget we won't just get 40m cash ,it's probably x amount a year for the duration of his contract with Everton and maybe extra if he does x amount in app and goals and other things ?

50M would be great but 45M is still an incredible fee for us.

What I would hope and partly expect after the owners stance over selling Gylfi, is that they spend every penny on strengthening the team.

Replacement for Gylfi
Right back
Centre Half
Winger.

Its paramount we bring in a couple of creative players with goals in them. Clement will get the troops set up well and to put a shift in.....but we need something further up the field.

The 'extra' is presumably what's classed as add ons (the £5m).

The staging of payments makes no difference as we will then do the same when buying his replacement and the others that are needed. Or we could sell on the debt instead if we wish, as we did with Ayew, to receive the whole lot upfront (in return for a fee).

I know, but the window's open until Sept 1st. Obviously the sooner we get players in the better.

Edit: Sorry, window closes at 11pm on 31st August.

One of the things I most hate is that we (as a club) seem to write off the first few games in terms of getting the whole team in, as the window remains open. I always believe we should have every player in place before the season starts, irrespective of the window, to give us the best chance at a good start. It's all momentum in the Premier League. If you start well, you're not spending the season in a perceived relation battle which makes it a whole lot easier.

Or 8 Ki type players at Capt Beakys favoured buying price.

We all knew Siggy wasn't going to play for us again.
Hopefully PC is given all the fee to source players in like Rocky

Unfortunately the transfer window puts a lot of gain in the pocket of the agents and away from the clubs.

Its a short period to get players in with clubs fighting for the players signature. A lot of agents leave it late in hope the clubs get desperate the closer the window comes.

May not be the case as there has not been one single leak,as far as I can determine regarding who a replacement could be.Anyway still don't believe he's off especially at £45M as £50M was our price and can't envisage our owners throwing £5M away as they and Mr Clement were adamant that they did not wish to sell.
