Very proud to be voted Planet Swans Poster of the Year 2017 by my fellow posters. Especially on a site that nearly had 20 million impressions last year.

West Brom getting all their players into their penalty area. Difficult to break down. Need a few cut backs, get the ball behind them.

And an aweful lot of holding down, pulling and pushing going on.
Dean is not going to give us anything meaningful, like a penalty.

So before the new deal when it was £1.2m per place. When we finished 8th, you're saying the players split a £14.4m bonus?..........I don't fvckin think so!

Yup.

In 2013 they were on course to split a pot of £8m, so the figure you have stated is an extra 250k per player reward for finishing 8th. 4 years later and in influx of money into the PL players pockets via wages, I think it is entirely feasible that we are continuing to do this in return for lower then usual wages. It is how we manage the teams finances, and a very smart way to do so. We remain within our wage structure and give the players extra incentive than normal to perform well withiut having to set aside money for bonuses, it is essentially paid for itself.

Lower than usual wages? Are you one of those who still thinks we are little old Swansea City competing amongst the big teams on a shoestring?

We have a striker playing in France who we pay £80,000 a year. We no longer offer lower than usual wages. Come on.

Are you suggesting that none of those players are trying?
If you are, you are being very unkind.

No, im one of those that knows our turnover and one of those that knows our accounted wages.

Gylfi Sigurdsson would be on 100k+ anywhere else. Gomis was a free transfer, the fact we didnt pay a fee for him then increased his wage via a signing on fee (X amount divided over the length of contract) which makes up part of the wages that you state.

We pay lower than normal. Hence why our bonus system is what allows us to attract the likes of Bony, Sigurdsson, Ayew et al.
