Very proud to be voted Planet Swans Poster of the Year 2017 by my fellow posters. Especially on a site that nearly had 20 million impressions last year.

3 out of 4 actually. Becoming a good habit.

You're right about putting pressure on ourselves though. I really didn't think we were going to win when we started going deeper and deeper. Very relieved at the end.

Southampton had us chasing shadows for the first 20 minutes but we did well to battle back.

Maybe the heavy training Clement's got them doing is leaving them a bit leggy at the minute but it'll pay dividends as we go on.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Just home and still recovering from the stress. I thought we had the better of the first half, but rode our luck late on. We were solid at centre half, but the two fullbacks both look dodgy to me. Midfield has been improved by Carroll's signing (I admit to underestimating him) but we were still second best there today. We need to upgrade Cork, and possibly Fer and Ki in the summer if we survive. Gigantic result tonight, but I was disappointed to see that our rivals also did okay.

Our rivals did ok?
Check again...
We caught up with Boro & Leicester.
Pulled another 2 points away from Sunderland. Not bad.

It's just the internet, init.

Fabianski had a solid game but still needs to come for some balls to take pressure off the defence.
Fed and Mawson were solid at the back, our best partnership.
Naughton, we really do need to upgrade.
Olsson, great going forward but a tad weak in defence
Cork we need to upgrade.
Carroll likes to pass and keep continuity. A good signing.
Fer, needs to learn to defend, if you go up then work to get back
Routledge quiet game tonight until replaced.
Siggy worked his socks off and great goal
Llorente to me was our main man. Held the ball up well and needed more support.

Subs
Ki again weak in the tackle
Narsingh has pace and more football skill than Barrow but can't defend.
Rangel the old warrior legs are going.

Agree with all of that. Plus I'd add I don't like the look of the way we've set the centre midfield 3. All so deep, but so easy to play through, so pretty pointless being there. And a massive Siggy-shaped hole behind Llorente.

Llorente was HUGE tonight, but we didn't have anyone playing off him for most of the time. Very odd. Naughts had a 'mare. They singled him out on the right, then singled him out on the left. Hope Olsson didn't pick up a knock as there's no other logical reason for leaving Naughts on.

They're the only negatives though. Massive, massive win. Siggy and Llorente critical for us again. Mawson's starting to develop into a very good player; Long got nothing out of him so focussed on FF second half. Big shout to Fab too - he loved that.

I thought Corky had a good game from watching between my fingers.

He did well enough.

Watched this one on the telly. Hate watching games on the telly. Anyway ...

Fabianski - bar being stuck to his line for the goal, he did very well especially with the crosses into the box.
Olsson - One major brainfart aside, I like this cat. A decent attacking threat although didn't see a lot of it today. He's also having to cover Gylfi who is leaving the flank exposed. Did well.
Alfie - Lovely on the ball, good blocking, does have a habit to step back first and ask questions later. Needs to be more aggressive. Still, leaps forward every game.
FF - There's the defender we signed. Potentially have done better for the goal but the ball ended up 3 yards away from the goal line, for me that's a keeper's job. Won lots in the air.
Naughton - Not as bad as some are making out, but an area for improvement.
Cork - Playing against an old team, and seemed to kick on from that. Best from a defensive perspective I've seem him in some time.
TC - While I always though he was the right sort of player, he's far surpassed that from the last two games. A potentially season changing signing. Keep it up, please, we need him to.
Leroy - Busy, decent in attack. Liked it.
Gylfi - Kind of shoehorned into the team, given sort of a free role in attack and defence, but busy in both. Matchwinner again. Doing a job but I don't see this as a long term position.
Wayne - Not much to say to be honest.
Jorente - Not as spectacular but battled, held the ball up as best he could given the players around him, but did well. Looking increasingly important.

Subs:
Narsingh - Set up the winner, mildly terrified me in defence, looks quick but runs like he's wearing slippers. Quite a few positives though, and another Clement player comes up with an assist for a winner.
Ki - Er ... not a lot.
Rangel - Seems to be the option to close the game. Working.

I thought a draw would have been a fair result. I'm delighted we stole the win. Before the match many disagreed that anything but a win would be a terrible result, and after seeing results elsewhere, that turned out to be absolutely correct. How about you respect other peoples opinions instead of shouting at anything that differs from your own.

That's not what you were saying earlier...you said anything bar a win was a disaster,,,,,,oh and by the way did you actually attend tonight?

Not our best performance but fantastic 3 points. Back to back wins will give the lads confidence and now we're in the mix with at least another 3 teams. Hope our dismal goal difference is going to be the deciding factor, if only BB was sacked sooner. Still optimistic we can avoid the drop but PC still has work to do.

I don't want to seem ungrateful, but I'm a bit bored with winning. Draw next game for me please.
