Top sitcoms of the 21st century on 23:14 - Aug 23 by rich_dale | Pulling hasn't been mentioned but I thought was quality. Aside from that, for me Peep Show, Phoenix Nights, The Office and Early Doors. Tweeted earlier that Mrs Brown's Boys being voted top of the pile reminded me of when Shaddap You Face kept Vienna off the number 1 spot |
More recently channel 4's Catastrophe was and is very funny.

Top sitcoms of the 21st century on 12:06 - Aug 24 with 2340 views | mingthemerciless | Couldn't stand The Office, Mrs Brown makes me squirm and I'm not even Irish. Early Doors was fantastic. Phoenix Nights probably the best show of the last 30 years. Rising Damp the best since Steptoe and Son. [Post edited 24 Aug 2016 12:07]

Top sitcoms of the 21st century on 12:22 - Aug 24 with 2319 views | AtThePeake | Agree that Phoenix Nights would be my number one but it probably helps that we can identify with the local humour. Max & Paddy and Carshare are both decent but nowhere near Phoenix Nights level. Surprised to see so few shouts for Peep Show which for me is one of the best. Mrs Brown's Boys is laughably bad. I can't get my head around why it's so popular at all, same goes for Big Bang Theory. In terms of American comedies, Parks and Recreation is great and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia is the greatest sitcom ever made in my opinion.

Never heard of this before for some reason, which is weird as I usually dont usually miss stuff like that and its been going since 2005! Checked out a few clips on youtube and its very funny, and peculiar, quite quirky. On first looks it reminds me a bit of flight of the conchords.. [Post edited 24 Aug 2016 16:20]

There are definitely some similarities but I would say Always Sunny is a lot darker. I highly recommend to anyone though!

Top sitcoms of the 21st century on 21:16 - Aug 24 with 2047 views | howy10 | There arn't any decent sitcoms in the 21st century. Go further back and you will find proper comedy. On the buses, Rising damp, Steptoe and son. Oh yes, let's not forget Love thy neighbour. That is before the do gooders and PC brigade stepped in and "invented" racism! How ironic. We all used to laugh at each other. What went wrong? Oh yes, the do gooders and PC brigade! [Post edited 24 Aug 2016 21:18]

Itv were trying out various new shows last week. Can't remember the name, but there was one on where teams of 2 throw water balloons over a wall and try to catch them. Balloons full of paint, contestants and rooms all be-decked in white. Points awarded for how little paint you got on yourself. There was a water pistol full of, yes, paint in later rounds. Not only did somebody think of the show, but somebody also commissioned and paid for the show. Hades awaits.

Top sitcoms of the 21st century on 06:34 - Aug 25 with 1736 views | Albert_Whitehurst | Two things spring to my mind, 1 - the century is less than 16 years old. 2 - the selection was made by critics from the BFI and the Radio Times.
Top sitcoms of the 21st century on 08:58 - Aug 25 with 1701 views | mikehunt | Yes Phoenix and Extras But another two I liked were Outnumbered ( what's a mother fudger) and Episodes (with Joey out of Friends) And, though not exactly a sitcom, my absolute favourite- The Mighty Boosh

The remade Porridge was an Oscar nominated classic compared to the remade Are You Being Served that was on just before it,the 'pussy' joke was barely funny once but the BBC seemed to base the whole storyline around it
