Wasn't Orient at home a Brenno production too, or was that the waiter? This will be a routine two niller though I think. Away would be a different kettle of bananas.

The "second" Xi could be good enough to take us to Wemberleeee next year. I can't remember a squad with this much strength in depth. We've had excellent players in the past, but this season we appear to have near enough 2 very good, strong teams. Add some kids into the mixer and lads to come back off loan in December and I don't see why we can't give the 2 cups a real good go. Garry wants to win every match he puts out a team for. Doesn't seem to pick and choose which teams in what leagues are beatable, as someone in the past did. We are Swansea. Nearly absolutely anything is possible with our club. Bottom to top to bottom to top (and staying there this time!!) Although we don't seem as susceptible to "The Swansea Way" as we used to be, so stopping anyone having a bet on us ending any teams bad run. And with that, we'll probably bloody lose to York now
| If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious. |

The side we put out should be good enough but these players will not have played together in a competitive match. York on the other hand will have played quite a few and this has often proven a leveller in the past. I expect us to win of course but it might not be as easy as some think.

Yeah, amazingly we're going to be playing a number of reserves according to the manager, claiming the long away trips and lots of games lately has resulted in key players getting fatigued (based on the 0-0 at Exeter) and the concentration on Mansfield next Saturday. Could be kidology, but knowing this f-ing useless manager it's probably not. So this is going to be awkward on Tuesday and somewhat insulting to those of us spending 200 quid for this game. What's your record win? Vs. York City on August 25, 2015 may become it.

We Will Breeze Past York Won't We? on 20:59 - Aug 23 with 3177 views | AnotherJohn | Looking at the online ticket sales stadium map today it doesn't look like too many do see this as a big game. I reckon we should get through in 90 minutes, but if weplay mainly reserves then I will be interested to see where the goals come from. I think I would give Gomis and Ayew some minutes in the hope that they will score and keep confidence high. Can't really see this being a high-scoring game as some might anticipate with L2 opponents, but will be delighted to be proved wrong.

Don't wish to be condescending, but when we were in the lower leagues we'd look on a game such as this as our "'cup final". As you point out anyone spending £200 on an away game deserves better from his or her club.

It would be nice to gauge the view of York City fans as to how they view the game John. There was a time when we would be viewed as a pretty shit draw, even when we started off in the premier league. Time has moved on, I'm wondering if that is the case nowadays.

You are not a fan of Eder AJ? I think that, if the team gels, then with Dyer and Routs on the flanks getting balls into the box could be very fruitful.

We Will Breeze Past York Won't We? on 09:59 - Aug 24 with 2847 views | Devz00 | Interesting comments from the York manager here - http://www.goal.com/en-gb/match/swansea-city-vs-york-city/2139148/preview Basically saying he's more interested in the league and sounds like they are resting some players for this one. "Recharging for Tuesday night is going to be so difficult on the back of two long journeys and it's a worry," he told The York Press. "We've also played five matches in 14 days now and I thought we looked dead on our feet [at Exeter]. Some of our lads are absolutely wiped out and, when fatigue comes into play, you can pick up injuries so, while I want to put out my strongest team and Swansea's a great arena to play in, the bigger picture is we don't want to lose players. "I would prefer to win against Mansfield [in the league next week]. I'm sure everybody will want to play but I've got to do what’s best for the football club and, in the long-term, the league is more important." EDIT - Just realised that our visitor from York has touched on this, sorry. [Post edited 24 Aug 2015 10:02]

Yes, basically. But to expand on that...you are a Premiership side. You're a very good Premiership side. You've got a great stadium and when I do watch Premiership matches, I find your club far more exciting than the likes of Villa, Spurs and such. Anyone outside the Premiership would be arrogant to say this wasn't a big game for them, and would be insulting in the process. And we're Divison Two. There's a few caveats in that we had hoped for somewhere easier to travel (being a Tuesday night) - such as we took (and sold out) the 4,500 allocation and more boring clubs (away to Bolton and Stoke) in the recent third round FA Cup games, but I doubt we'll bring 500 to this one - that's a downer. Also, some of us older fans remember when we were in the same division not so many moons ago, so that takes a bit of shine of it, but I personally keep thinking back to my original point of who you are now. Also, we spent a few years in the utter direness of the Conference (due to dodgy chairmen nearly killing the club). One has to experience Alfreton and Histon away, where your away support is more than their home support and the ground is proper pub league stuff. Beating Luton at Wembley in front of 50,000 was an experience that made up for it, but yeah....taking everything into account, it wasn't a second's thought on getting the train booked for this one. Any new Swans fans on here ( or even those lucky enough to be young ! ) take note of this guys words, by the power of fans x 10 did our club get it right, and still does today, but equally by the power of lower league fans ( the real football school for fans ) are we rewarded with ties such as Swansea v York. For a a million reasons and they are all football, get down the Liberty on Tuesday night.
