We finished less than ten points clear of relegation the season the CVA went through.
Why a rule that didn't even exist at the time obsesses the Basseys so much I have no idea, but if they didn't have their crumbs of comfort to cling onto they probably wouldn't have an awful lot going for them at all. |

Sooner or later you will look up the word investment, a cash injection to recoup the initial amount and more. If you genuinely believed a foreigner was going to gift a championship club £100m then you deserve everything you get.
I stand by my statement. Any owner can come in, fans are powerless in that department. However once its clear they are not running the club with the clubs interests foremost then the fans can do something... As we did. You still haven't.

The accounts last shown definitely had someone else owed nearly half the debt. Perhaps Tan wouldn't give him money but allow him onto the board and bring the Langstone debt with him. This would give Sam a 40% stake would it not? Perhaps Sam is ferreting about for money so buy Tan's debt and hence regain control of the club? | |

The fact is, we were not happy with our chairman so ousted him immediately. You guys ASKED to be stripped of your colours for some cash loans to buy players with, you rejoiced at millions of pounds being spent in your name, your whole stadium waved red scarves at a home match, you all loved it when promoted singing songs about us on your promotion parade.
You were an embarrassment to the Premier League and then started bleating about the red etc (Two, yes TWO, years after the event). You are a mess of a club from top to bottom and will continue to be so as any sort of limelight is craved by the fans over the wellbeing of the club. Anyone that offers some exposure and some cash will be met with giddy excitement even if the cost is handing big chunks of the clubs heritage and dignity.

Half the debt owed to someone else? Not sure where you got that from. You may be right, can't remember a single person claiming that on any Cardiff boards - and it would have been jumped all over if true.
Shareholding is easy enough to check, Langston ooops Hammam do not have 40%. Tan has virtually all the shares, small shareholders and one director aside.
Hammam would have to check down the back of a lot of sofas to find the cash.
EDIT: Just googled. Seems media claim half the debt is to Tan. Not sure how accurate that is - still say it would have been documented on forums and checked. [Post edited 9 Nov 2014 11:38]

Scooby, I’ve watched you wriggling in this thread so you might be interested in some further detail as you seem to be quite exercised by the Swans being sold for a £1.
In July 2001, the then owners for Swansea City were Ninth Floor. Current club debts at that time were around £800,000. For whatever their reasons, Ninth Floor wanted out so agreed to sell the club (including its assets and liabilities) for £1 to the then chairman Mike Lewis. Part of the agreement of sale was that Mike Lewis would repay this £800K to Ninth Floor. Lewis intended to sell the club as quickly as he could and it was he who sold it to Tony Petty.
To spell it out simply for you, the club was sold for a £1 as the liabilities exceeded the club assets and income. The owners didn’t want to put any more money in, but wanted to get out what they could. Can you think of another club in a similar situation whose owner might be regretting his decision to buy it? What value would you put on this club? |  |
