Just watched the game in its entirety with a brew. Nothing better after a night shift and I have to say the swans did well, I'm not sure about the negativity of certain posts at all, we played well, stood our ground against bullyboy tactics, and the sending off of Rangel was completely wrong. And this is even agreed by the commentators at the time. The second yellow was poor. We did have chances, remember we were the away team and Monk got his subs in at the right times and Jazz coming on when Rangel went off was quick and effective. The tactics of sunderland spoilt their own game at home, the swans didn't 'earn' a point they worked hard for it and deserved it. As a unit we were spot on. No worries and great tactics from Monk. Credit where it is due. But he is aided by Ash and the more senior heads in the side thats for sure. I don't like Sunderland, ala QPR one of the more hateful sides in the premier league. So job done it annoyed them. They played in to our hands, got wound up and we got what we deserved.

MOM was Fabianski but Fernandez was a rock at the back with Ash again. The main reason why we once again earned a clean sheet.

And Yes, it was a penalty on Routledge.

Definite penalty on Routs. Rangel silly to throw the ball away for first yellow. Away up there was never going to be easy and a point is a decent result.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I think routs was too honest for the penalty, he got back up and carried on where if he'd stayed down it may have been awarded

Be over there now after

Great OP. I thought the team as a whole showed grit and determination. I loved the look on our players faces when there were close ups being shown, it showed players who were passionate and driven under the constant pressure of a team who set out to frustrate our game(nothing wrong with those tactics)
What I saw was a fast paced quite exciting game that even with Angels second yellow had me glued to the screen until the final whistle. Disappointed we didn’t snatch a winner but pleased for the away point with a clean sheet. There is no God given right to beat any team in the PL. We might expect to win games against certain teams, I expected us to win yesterday by a good couple of goals, but if every team beat every team they were expected to it would be pretty boring and we might as well just hand Chelsea the crown today. Believe it or not 0-0 games like yesterday are just as exciting in their own way as a 3-0 win. What does frustrate is when teams who set out to frustrate get away without being penalised as much as us and the last 2 games are good examples of this.
Bring on the Barcodes, I can’t wait.
