My opinion is based on how little he was used by Liverpool in the run-in, despite Sturridge looking out of form and even Suarez wobbling (plus his poor record against the big boys). When Brendan did turn to him (very late on) against Chelsea, he produced quite possibly the worst corner in the history of football.
Perhaps a run of games up top would suit him, but when would he get that here? Only when Bony goes to the Cup of Nations.
Our problem is we need a good striker, willing to play backup yet be ready to come on and impress despite little game time, all at a good price. Yet another reason the decision to cut Luke Moore free looks silly. Had many limitations, but capable of coming in at short notice and doing a good job. Certainly better than Itay, Lita or Vasquez managed. | |

Well this time last year he was on verge of a call up to the Spanish side and there was talk of all sorts of teams looking at him and most on hear were gutted when he went to Liverpool instead of us, I know a year is a long time in football just look at Michu but I'd be more than happy to give the boy a chance especially if we can get him on the cheap, he may feel he's got something to prove. | |

We probably did in fairness, but you'll never know until someone gives him a chance and plays him regulary up top, trouble is with that, is that you'd possibly need other's to pop the goals in until/if he finds his feet, we're not gonna do that with Bony and a fit Michu here, unless he plays on the wing, but Borini would be the better bet then.
So in all honesty, its a no for me. | |

This. With Suarez and Sturridge, he was never going to get games. Many strikers are all about confidence, so on the back of a season not getting games with those two, it doesn't mean he's. donkey. I know Bony is likely to be our first choice, but as second choice, he would at least get game time. I'd prefer Borini, but that doesn't mean Aspas wouldn't suit us either. |  |

A lot of foreign players do better in their 2nd seasons after they've had a year to adapt to the language, culture, weather etc. As well as to the style of football. I'm neutral on this one but still suspect that Cardiff have just acquired a better Spanish forward (and on a free transfer) than Aspas. |  |

Good God no.
Aspas is sh*t. Looked OK in La Liga where he racked up a few goals against sh*t sides but was woefully out of his depth in the Prem. If we'd signed him for £7m we'd be in the Championship right now.
He deserves another chance in this league but to value him the same as Vorm, a full international top class 'keeper on his day, is absolutely ludicrous. |  |
