Well he's a better signing for them than Grimes was / is / or ever will be!

Lets hope he doesn't score on March 7th

Well, yeah.

Flicker: He’s found it difficult at Rochdale recently because of the quality of player that Keith Hill has assembled at Spotland, and the quality of players coming up through their academy system.

It's almost as if Flicker is keeping his feet warm and awaiting the opportunity once Hilly is offered the Bolton/Blackbun/Blackpool/Wigan/Wherever job.

I actually think he will do very well at bury. But Tutte has obviously had several clashes with authority here, whilst his replacement JK is a model professional, so I'd imagine Hilly will be very pleased with his weeks work.

Despite the build up on the Bury site 'ex-Man City youth.....ex-England U*' ...this would be his 2nd free transfer in a row..?

Think this will backfire on us. Tutte has some talent.
Not happy with this one.

Of course he demanded to be released from his contract as soon as he found out Team Revolution were interested in him.

I would hope that the fact that he has signed for the buckets means that there has been an agreement between the clubs that we wouldn't have to pay him off.

Poll: Do you want bury to get promoted?

If we wanted to retain Tutte but he wanted to go, because he had the buckets lined up, then surely he gets paid until the day he leaves. No payment to the end of his contract. If, however, his contract was paid up then he will be paid twice for the days to the end of the season, once by us, and then by bury.
In a nutshell, if we did want to see him go then it would likely have cost us.

Reports suggest dale merely cancelled his contract (mutually agreed) which meant he was free agent. He then went to Giggle lane and signed for them.

No doubt an agreement was in place that suited all parties. No pay-off, no transfer fee, no hanging about and a one-way ticket for the 471.

The comments of Flicker of late remind me of Ian McParland when he was in charge of Notts County.

Good point. Maybe he lost all his contacts when he lost his phone that time....

Surely we could have commanded some sort of a fee for him from Bury?

Possibly, but it seems clear the club didn't want him and he wanted to leave... asking for a fee may have scuppered the whole thing.

Better to let him move on and replace him swiftly, as we have done.

He'd do well to get a bricklaying course under his belt whilst he's there.
