Having taken some time out, and yesterdays weather was excuse enough I watched a Swans game from a LIVE feed and I can assure you it wasn’t anywhere near as good as the real thing.

However, what we cannot ignore is the amount of chances the Swans turned down throughout the game, plus another ridiclious error from Ben Cabango. If I were him I would be signing on the dotted line asap. And forget the presentations to him by the club. Nonsense, if you don’t want to stay Ben the M4 east is a short step away. I suppose that’s easily said but the lifestyles of these guys compared to the vast majority of the Swansea support requires thought. Yes, it’s a short career, and after retirement only the intelligent will move forwards positively.

Worth thinking about.

Yesterday was pretty shocking when you look at the chances Swansea City had at Kenilworth Road.

Chances a plenty for Grimes, Tymon, Peart-Harris, Ronald, Vipotnik, Cullen and Franco. Lost possession was crucial in the Swans not winning this game. And then Eom in the second half and another one for Peart-Harris where he for the third time this season, in the exact same position, he taps the ball to the opposing keeper. The Swans were the better side in a contest between two very average teams, better in passing accuracy, possession and passes completed. The shots stats are in the Swans favour, on target and blocked (a shot on target is only deemed so if the keeper saves it) hence blocked shots. It displays a dominance without a cutting edge. Unfortunately Liam Cullen can’t perform to his latest standard every game, and Vipotnik does seem very lost at times.

The supply line from the wings is left wanting, and the constant recovery when losing possession is a just that, a constant. Misplaced passes or incorrect choices were a feature in this game. Someone said the other day, “You should try it, it isn’t easy’ Well how about the players tried like the superb support we saw yesterday at Luton. In some cases fans just couldn’t get there. Some decided the ‘risk to life’ and government alerts was sufficient warning, especially if travelling with family. The journey the Jack Army took was treacherous, extremely long and to some not worth it. And maybe so, but on a day where people died due to the storms, the term ‘Swansea till I die’ has never been more relevant.

But still the Swans fans persevered, they still travelled and those that made it, many didn’t, they out-sung and outclassed the Hatters followers throughout the game. It has been mentioned that the Swans goal, scored by Matt Grimes, and what a beauty, was sucked in by the away supporters. The scenes were spectacular, just like the goal. A move which saw Josh Tymon find Grimes from a corner out on the Swans left which the Captain couldn’t have struck any better. It was what the Swans deserved, and definitely what the Jack Army deserved, but by then that should have been the fourth Swansea goal of the day.

The focus now of course switches to Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday night. You know, if the Swans have their shooting boots on with more composure this is the type of game that should be won. However the chances of that are very slim, but then don’t we all like a long shot now and again ?

We work so hard on set-pieces with Alan Sheehan in training, and today we executed that well and got a goal. I think we've put in good performances in the last six or seven games, and with the quick turnaround, we'll go again build on the positives and get a result. The fans were unbelievable. We were saying before the game, we wouldn't blame anyone for staying in and not turning because the conditions are horrific, but fair play to them they surprise me every week. They're outstanding”
