Cardiff fans see the game very differently !
Monday, 26th Aug 2024 16:49 by Liam Walters & David Cornish

Cardiff City have had plenty to say on the referee, the decision making and the fact that Oliver Langford didn’t book players from the off in yesterdays derby game at the Swansea.Com but what about the fans ?

Already complaining before the game on the bubble trip, and fans stating that they will travel to Swansea for future games regardless (they won’t that’s fantasy stuff yet again from this fan base, over the years a continual theme ) We now read about the fall out from the game, and the way they were poorly treated, Ollie Tanner getting injured, and their manager Erol Bulut being sent off.

Here’s a starter. You will find thread after thread on the apparent Swans obsession with this side, but on Cardiff web pages. Obsession ? Ok !

⚽️ First off the referee.
Apparently he was homer, one sided and was a disgrace. In a bad tempered game with hard challenges, referee Langford allowed challenges from both sides in this derby. Had he been ruthless from the off it is almost certain both sides could have had their numbers reduced. Allowing the game to flow and managing it in this way he certainly ensured it was competitive and even throughout.

However.

The well written website ‘mauve & yellow army’ a Cardiff page are always very objective and you get the impression they were happy with the draw, but not the referee.

There’s so much more on multiple threads on two websites, some of it relating to forty odd years ago when ‘Cardiff took over Swansea’ which isn’t factually correct. However, that’s what happens after years of brainwashing from a variety of badly written books. And now these old men are turning up on YouTube talking more nonsense, it’s embarrassing. The only issues there have been over the past twenty five years have all come when Swansea fans have been in Cardiff, conveniently forgotten if that’s your bag. And of course 1993, in the well excused, completely irrelevant responses to the ‘Ninian Park Riot’ which shook those Cardiff fans to the bone. Anyway, we move on.

⚽️ Erol Bulut : We mentioned his daft behaviour in this mornings review.

That’s here —> The aftermath

The furore from the east has been astonishing since then. By all accounts it is acceptable for Bulut to behave like that. To aggressively turn up the temperature by verbally attacking Kyle Naughton. He is meant to be a role model, and clearly doesn’t understand what this fixture is all about. Their fans in the main seemed delighted to gain a point and score a goal for the first time in ages.

⚽️ Ollie Tanner: Again we covered that this morning but since then, the hoardings collapsing wouldn’t have happened had the Cardiff section not left their allocated area and fallen on to the hoardings. Then their player wouldn’t have been injured. Look nowhere else but to Cardiff City for this incident occurring. All created by their players and fans. We’ve heard they have been reported to the football league for failing to control their brains. See below for the correct way to behave in a large crowded area.

We realise that scoring at Swansea last happened when children who were born that year are now in school, but think about it eh ? Overall there is no difference between these two sides, both displayed passion and wanted to win for their city. The same goes for the fans. There are thousands more sensible fans than the few hundred who obsess about the Swans dominance of Welsh football over many years. We know it hurts, if the roles were reversed we would be absolutely gutted. But please don’t dress it up in false narratives, it embarrasses your educated and balanced fans. They probably won’t read this as they are still working out how to string a sentence together on Twitter.
