At last it’s a chance for the Swans to fly ! Plus full Championship round up
Wednesday, 6th Mar 2024 08:00 by Liam Walters

Swansea City head to Vicarage Road tonight after a long trip yesterday to a training location pre match. Buoyed by two excellent wins away at Sunderland and home to Blackburn on Saturday the Swans should be full of confidence for this game (KO:745pm)

Jamal Lowe (below) is most certainly in contention, as is Harry Darling, Josh Key and Azeem Abdulai which is good news for head coach Luke Williams after a tenure so far that has been littered with injuries. Liam Walsh, Josh Ginnelly and Sam Parker are all out for this game.

New signing Ronald is getting some attention and Luke Williams is pleased so far with his progress, “I have been very impressed, he has a great personality and is really brave. It is a huge step for him, and it’s one thing to be here but is another to embrace it and he is doing that. He has great quality, but it is his personality that is getting him the rewards on the pitch because of how he is applying himself”

Without doubt the Brazilian is making an impact, but as the head coach says it’s a big step. He has to be carefully managed at Championship level, so a lot of thought has to be put in to tonight’s selections. The Swans have Bristol City away this weekend, and then Cardif City at home following that. There needs to be some flexibility in the squad and an unchanged team isn’t expected tonight. There’s a bit more depth available so we should expect some clever use of those players available.

We had a good look at Watford and the Swans on Monday.

That’s here —> ⚽️ Big game build up

Last nights results followed suit with the higher placed sides earning good results, and sadly Rotherham United are now looking odds on for relegation.

The league table is a bit more clearer for the Swans going in to this game too. The area of the table we are interested in has opened up in the past week and a half, and the Swans should be looking up now confidently.

Tonight’s fixtures will complete the full round of games for the Championship tonight. There’s a few games that if they go the Swans way, and of course they take advantage of Watford’s poor home form could see an impressive rise up the table. That’s all ifs buts and maybes for now, but it’s encouraging to see. It is also encouraging to have a more confident look about the team and our last eleven games of the season.

Tonight’s games are below with latest betting and how you can watch the Swans.

A win will see Swansea rise two places in the table, and if Norwich get three points at Middlesbrough it will be another jump by one place. However, the side have to display the determination we have seen over the past two league games, and follow the advice of the coaching staff regards losing concentration in the second half of games.

The game is pay on the gate tonight, and there’s already a healthy turn out travelling to Watford. Travel safely Jacks.
