Josh Tymon & Josh Key to face injury assessment today
Tuesday, 24th Oct 2023 12:06 by Liam Walters

Josh Tymon and Josh Key both carried on playing with injuries on Saturday against Leicester City. Duff now has to wait for feedback on both before naming his side which is already injury hit for tonight’s home game against Watford ( Kick Off 7.45pm )

Both players played through the injuries but are now facing some pretty stiff pre match injury assessments today. At first Tymon’s injury was thought to be cramp but it could be a minor Hamstring pull. Josh Key has an ankle injury picked up in the second half against Leicester. On both Duff has stated. "We think it was cramp, ( Tymon ) that's why he played on. However it now seems it was a very slight hamstring pull. "It was in his hamstring, it was more of a cramp than a pull. We'll have to see how that settles down."

Josh Key is a surprise injury issue which will cause Duff more concern "Other than that, Josh Key got a bit of a kick on the ankle so we'll have to assess that." This could be the opportunity Harrison Ashby has been waiting for if the Swans err on the side of caution with Key. This could also mean Kristian Pedersen starts on the left.

Ben Cabango is also touch and go with the information coming out from the club he could miss this game. The Swans have enjoyed the better of recent meetings scoring a double over the Hornets last season.

Duff will most certainly be looking for a win tonight. “It’s about bringing stability in terms of the emotions and looking at where we can improve. Results will come if you look after your performances. We were good value for the four wins we had, but we have to keep churning out those performances now.” And that after a defeat at home to Leicester City who by far have been one of the best sides to feature in the Championship in recent years.
