Lee Buchanan signature getting closer for Swansea City Wednesday, 19th Jul 2023 08:19 by @Cornish67David As we reported last week Lee Buchanan is close to signing for Swansea City. The Werder Bremen defender has been determined to find the right club when he returns to these shores, and it seems another shrewd move by Sporting Director Paul Watson and his recruitment team has again paid off. Lee does have a long contract to satisfy and will cost the Swans a considerable sum of money to lure to the Swansea.Com stadium. With excess cash in the bank for now and team building a priority we see Buchanan as a certain first team player when the season starts. The Lee Buchanan Indy report from July 12th - ‘Top Top player’ feature is here —> ⚽️ Rooney rates Lee Several clubs were chasing Lee including Coventry City and Birmingham City but it seems this morning he has decided to go with the Swans after a steady season in Germany. Although everything isn’t sorted as yet, we expect the final details to come to fruition very soon. It seems Lee has enjoyed his time in Germany, but the experience also seems to have confirmed his football future needs to be elsewhere. With a contract running until 2026 in Germany he will cost the Swans a fairly big fee, but his salary will be easily negotiated.
