Duff gets his man : Ex Burnley player ready to sign for Swansea
Friday, 30th Jun 2023 13:03 by Swansea Independent

Latest in the transfers coming in front is Josh Ginnelly seems to have agreed to join Swansea City after becoming a free agent after three years at Heart Of Midlothian, on loan and permanently. Reports suggest four other Championship clubs were in for Ginnelly, but as it stands this afternoon he is discussing terms with the Swans and Paul Watson.

Ginnelly will be a tremendous catch for Swansea City. Over his time at Gorgie Road he scored twenty goals over sixty seven games. He isn’t a genuine striker either. Preferring to link up with a recognised front man he plays on the left or right hand side of the pitch and has a tremendous shot on him. Surprisingly at twenty six he has only played two hundred and fourteen competitive games. The majority at Hearts, Altrincham, Walsall and Lincoln City.

Ginnelly started his career at Aston Villa and is known to Duff from his time at Burnley.

We have an in-depth feature on Ginnelly on Saturday morning.
